One thing I really enjoyed the three different perspectives we got in this book and how we learned how they were all connected in some twisted way, joining up the dots and working out how exactly they were all connected was so much fun! Yes, there are a couple mildly surprising twists near the end, but again, it's all been done so many times before, I felt no spark of excitement while reading.

Under better direction I guess this could have been a mediocre movie but that's a high bar for what was actually made. The little boy I think at least has an excuse as maybe it was his acting 101 lesson but s*** no excuse for the empty acting from the others. I'm not sure if I feel the need weep because of the horrible movie that was actually made and distributed or because I watched it. While the relationship between the three main characters was fairly obvious to me from pretty early on, I still enjoyed the drama and suspense of it all and all the twists and turns!

These women feel like real people, not manufactured for fiction, and it would take a hard-hearted reader to not empathize with middle-aged Eleanor and thirty-something Claire.There seemed to be a lot of chapters on Suzie and Nora too, Elle had a smaller share and I'd have loved to know more about the incidents from her past and what shaped her to be the person she was. It was an easy and compelling read, drawing the reader in and making the reader invested in the characters’ lives.

It’s very similar to a great many women authors women driven thrillers that seem to be all the rage nowadays, it diligently works the formula, but doesn’t go out of its way to offer readers something new or exciting. I know this book seems more like an adult kind of book but let me assure you that it is very beautiful story. Unfortunately the clues to Richard’s deception – and the ability for him to get away with everything – laid in Eleanor’s lack of knowledge of their financial affairs. I found this book to be quite repetitive as the situation is revealed , it is a slow drama that was enjoyable but not one that will stay with me.
