I initially tried a different brand and was not overly impressed but this one does make a difference to the finish of makeup and this is now the 2nd one I have bought. For best results, beautyblender recommends using their blendercleanser® (sold separately) to cleanse. Durability is slightly tricky in that the black version feels a bit more fragile than the pink one, which feels sturdier in my hands.
