In his quest for a truly original gin, master distiller Jean-Sébastien Robicquet came up with the radical idea of macerating vine blossoms in neutral grape spirit. He knew it was a risk, but one that he had to take. By gathering grape flowers during their few days of bloom in June, they would no longer be able to produce grapes for a traditional September harvest.
