The dry-down is where the saltiness of the amber gives the best. Vanilla is there just to sweeten the roses, but I don’t get a gourmand slant of it. Likewise, oud is there to darken the roses, but I don’t get a big blast of it. The oud note always remains contained, almost sedated, never too harsh or raunchy. The oud doesn’t come through until drydown and is more of a supporting note here, anyway. Instead, amber, or better ambroxan, dominates the final stage with its somewhat woody nuance akin to cedar, salty and animalic like the ambergris. Amethyst' in the opening / first 3-5 minutes reminds me of 'Oud for Glory / Greatness' more than 'Atomic Rose'. It has a bit of an alcoholic blast for 10 seconds. But as it dries down, no joke I get 80% 'Atomic Rose'. Complete dry down is basically 'Atomic Rose' but more amber. Definitely a clone of Initio's rose 🌹 rather than Montale and Mancera. But even immediately after spraying on, this characteristic floral fruitiness, which is composed of the three flowers of the heart note, is unmistakably perceivable. It is accompanied by a bright, slightly powdery sweet vanilla note, which, however, never becomes too present and therefore does not let the fragrance become too sweet. As the name suggests, Absolute Aphrodisiac is part of the Absolute collection. But does it live up to its name? Atomic Rose is an amber-based perfume that emerges with a potent rosy hint. This is Tiziana Terenzi' "Delox" on the dry down. I compared the notes and yep both share some middle and dry down notes. I love Delox! This is a Rosey Delox to me and I'm absolutely......loving....every....second....of...it. Searching for a bottle now on a deal cuz I'm cheap.
