On the plus side, you get 4K/30p recording (albeit with a maximum recording time of ten minutes per clip) and Fujifilm’s lovely Eterna simulation, which is great for video. But I'm waiting for a possible release of Fujifilm's replacement X100V with the same 40MP IBIS sensor as the X-T5. It sure looked pretty ready for action, on my sideboard, but when push came to shove I nearly always ended up taking the x-t3/5 and a small lens.

Highlight and shadow details are more visible thanks to the EVFs higher resolution display, ensuring that images are made exactly as they are seen. Let's better appreciate what we have, consider what gives us joy, and get out there to take some photos. This is an example and you will be asked later in the checkout process to confirm your deposit again. The X100V has a familiar sensor with good performance and we take a close look at the new Color Chrome feature and the redesigned lens. The simple yet intuitive controls make it a joy to use and the resulting files speak for themselves.

Ondřej Vachek is a Prague based independent documentary photographer and photojournalist with multiple journeys to war-torn Ukraine where he covered everything from the frontline in the Donbass to the civilian life adapting to the new normal.

It's also about the ability to compose the image, and that process is different when an OVF is in the mix. Silver-painted hot shoe cover may seem trivial, but adds a nice look and feel to this aluminum X100V. If you haven’t bought an X100 series camera before, it’s important to make sure you’re happy with shooting for extended periods with only a 23mm focal length – we love the creativity it inspires, but at times it can feel neither wide enough nor tight enough for certain scenes. This special leaf-shutter system allows its tiny built-in flash to balance with any harsh light, day or night. To change your ISO settings, you still lift the outer ring that surrounds the shutter speed dial – only now, it remains in position when you lift it, rather than snapping back into place like on the Fujifilm X-Pro3. allowing the built-in flash to have far more range than with the 20-times-slower sync speeds of focal plane shutters of interchangeable-lens cameras. Mind you the last cameras that DID "do it for me" were an Exacta with a raft of Zeiss lenses, followed closely by a Leica rangefinder; two tough acts to follow. The industry standard CIPA rating, which is usually a pretty conservative estimate, is 350 shots per charge, up 270 on the X100F.
