Sabrina! Girl after my own heart! She definitely has taken Nattie’s place in my soul! She is officially my favorite Kroydon Hills lady, for now! She really has come into herself in this book! Her perfect persona is slowly chipped and she’s so much more than she puts out! There is many obstacles in the way of Carys and Cooper being together, and there gets a point where there’s so much angst. I will say this, Cooper Sinclair is a dream and absolutely perfect! Bells and Decs story is epic. They're the elder 'kids' of the Kroyden hills crowd and yet that does not take away from their story... Their chemistry is absolutely sizzling. Bella Matthews does a great job of using small details to build the tension and the wanting until it is ready to ignite. And ignite, it definitely does. And that was the problem - there was so much promise and the bones of a great romance, but it felt so thin and just skated around, when the author should have taken the time to dive deep into their head and heart space through showing vs telling. About 75% of this book is inner monologue and when the characters actually converse, it’s just rehashing the inner monologue. And Carys - sweet baby jesus - i know she’s only 20, but she needs to learn how to communicate. Getting 1 chapter from Sebastian's PoV was a nice touch, As he, his brother & Anna's new friend Amelia are such an integral role of the Showdown (#NoSpoilers 😜). I'm so excited for what Bella plans for next! #GiveMeBashWe finally get to spend some time with the King family and see how the inner workings go for them. Lenny was a mystery to me but man she is stunning. The woman knows her stats and you see how she wants to make her family proud after being gone to college. This family is like any other family, even though they own a football team.

Yet these two decide to jump in headfirst. Will they be able to successfully overcome all of the adversities life throws at their young connection? What was only promised to be one night together between Sebastian ‘Bash’ Beneventi and Eleanor ‘Lenny’ Kingston leads to so much more, when they come face to face together again 5 months later. But with work, families and future life decision already sealed, will they be able to overcome it all and move together as one? Or will fate have other plans with them having to say goodbye once and for all? And given the Easter eggs I found, you will be able to come to some conclusions in finding out what to expect within the next few books. And the mouth on that man? Pleasssse 😮‍💨 I was not expecting it because he was such a gentleman. Cooper is probably one of my top book boyfriends now. I love how he always wanted to keep Carys safe. He is just so yummmmm. Speaking of the Kings of Kroydon Hills and their ladies, who is better than Bash’s found family to help Bash get his girl and find the happiness that he so deserves? With humor, camaraderie, and some loving meddling, they support Bash through this challenging journey that reveals some secrets along the way. They encourage him to live his life for himself and fight for his girl!

The way this book shattered my heart and made it ache for both Cooper and Carys.. 💔 this is honestly a masterpiece. I was immediately drawn in from the beginning, and all I did was eat sleep and breathe this book.. to the point where I was having vivid dreams. This is my first book by this author and even though it’s the first of a standalone duet, it is not a standalone. There are about 50 thousand other couples in this book from past stories that it was so confusing and somehow they are all married to siblings or are related…? I honestly gave up trying to figure out who anyone was and just let them meld into one singular “other characters” character so I could keep the story going. In More Than A Game we are now taken to their college years, the whole gang appears and we get to know our leading character more, Murphy and Sabrina.
