Great shoes and they have amazing traction. I put them to the test while walking my two energized Huskies down a muddy slope while raining. This shoe is also very comfortable. Opinion of the grip in soft conditions was mixed, but the shoe works well for a mix of road and trail running. The grip was good, I felt stable over a variety of terrains but felt that with fewer lugs I did feel wearier on muddier terrain.” – Michael Beautiful shoes, actually like the picture possibly even better than the picture. They are comfortable and I will definitely buy another pair but in a different color. The kind of waterproofing you’d expect from GORE-TEX®, but it runs a little hot for summer running. The shoe did feel a touch on the snug side, I wasn’t as impressed with the width as I was with the Merrell, however I still found no slipping, just would prefer a little more width. The cushioning was good, but the Merrell Peak Agility 4 I tested alongside the Alphacross was certainly more comfortable to wear.” – Michael A versatile all-conditions running shoe that’s idea for trail running newbies.
