The plot is really fun. I don’t want to spoil by explaining, but the serial killer set up is pretty creative & interesting! Williams, Zoe (31 March 2023). " 'The all-consuming orgasm': how erotic thriller Obsession takes sex to the next level". The Guardian . Retrieved 10 April 2023. They filmed LMN’s You Can Never Go Home Again in Clinton, Mississippi. Bobby shared, “We had a great time filming in Clinton too last year. it was cold, but it was great.” A creative serial killer plot that kept me engaged throughout the book, with a satisfying ending. Not heavy on character development, but what’s there worked. Change the plan you will roll onto at any time during your trial by visiting the “Settings & Account” section. What happens at the end of my trial?

Don’t forget to listen to the Lifetime Uncorked Podcast available on iTunes, Stitcher, Spotify, or wherever you listen to podcasts! The author wrote this book several years ago and her writing style has improved since then (going by the Grant series). There's a preview of the story, which I appreciate knowing what a story is about before I read it. I found this book on Booksprout.co. 3*

An article comes out, “6 Things to Know About Sam’s New BAE.” Sam is thrilled for the good press, and Casey is flattered by the attention. She agrees to work for Sam and totally has a crush on him. He calls and sends Casey and her horny friend TJ on a spa day.

I thoroughly enjoyed Deadly Obsession which is a compulsive read with a clever perpetrator. It doesn’t add anything new or revolutionary to the genre, but it’s a well done and engrossing example of it. It is told mostly from Jane Phillips’s point of view, although the killer gets plenty of exposure too. He is named, his motive is explained and there is enough detail about his life to make him appear an unlikely killer. Normally this is enough to put me off a novel, but in this case, strangely, it seems to make the novel more compulsive as the questions swirl - how much truth is he telling, is his motive as he says, how does he stay in front of the hunt for him? To get these answers there was no choice but to keep reading as fast as possible. I've been following the Detective Jane Phillips series since the beginning, and I always seem to have a great time with each book. It's no surprise that I wasn't able to resist book number five Deadly Obsession, and I'm happy to say that it turned out to be one of my favorites of the series so far. An engaging writing style, a fascinating plot and serial killer character, lots of plot twists and suspense to keep you on the edge of your seat... Oh yes, if you enjoy detective thrillers you will be in for a treat with this one. Viv knows this marriage is business only but she can’t help her growing feelings and need for her husband. She knows Aidan is just playing the part of her husband but somewhere along the way everything changed and she can’t fight it anymore.Sam is rightfully upset with Casey, and he tells him to get out of his sight because he can’t even look at her. Lynette can’t look at her either (on her TV.) She grabs the knife and confronts Casey in the kitchen in the middle of the night. Lynette cries and screams about Sam being a liar and that he promised to marry her. She rushes Sam with the knife, and he ends up killing her. This is not a fantasy sequence. I can’t trust this movie now. Her Missing Daughter - This isn't my favorite story by this author. It needed to move at a faster pace, even when setting up the foundation of the storyline. There is too much trivial details that act as filler instead of enhancing the story and should have been edited out. The characters aren't well developed, along with some of their dialog. The main character bored me with her continuous yammering and thinking everyone owed her answers. I know the murdered woman was her childhood friend but they weren't that close, even with their Friday Skype chats since Yappy moved to India five years earlier. I didn't find any suspense with this story and the psychological part escaped me. A beautiful LA actress named Naomi, is in a fender bender and then held at gunpoint and killed? (I guess? It happens off screen.) Why not start your Lifetime thriller weekend early with Old Flames Never Die? It stars Yan-Kay Crystal Lowe ( Signed, Sealed, Delivered: The Vows We Have Made), Lou Ferrigno Jr. ( Stargirl), Rich Paul ( Welcome To The Christmas Family Reunion), and Whitney Able ( Jenie).

I liked getting Aiden's story. I loved the arranged marriage aspect. It added something different to the story. But I still feel like Aiden was cut short. I don't feel like we got a full explanation of his behavior. Like we kinda got one, but either it didn't come off well for me or I just feel like we needed more. We got very surface level and I wanted more in depth. I liked Viv's character. I liked that she didn't really take Aiden's shit and gave as good as she got. Obsession is a British erotic thriller television miniseries co-written by Morgan Lloyd Malcolm and Benji Walters, based on the novel Damage (1991) by Josephine Hart. Starring Charlie Murphy, Richard Armitage, Indira Varma and Sonera Angel, the series was released on Netflix on 13 April 2023. It's becoming a trend in this series that the conflict isn't all as it seems. Like there is one huge conflict in the story, and it gets solved, but then oops turns out it wasn't completely solved and there is a twist. I didn't quite catch it the first two books but by this book it definitely seems to be a trend. Not that it's bad, just getting kinda predictable. A series of murders initially has Jane and the team baffled until they realise that someone is recreating the crimes of Britain’s worst serial killers. Is it a team or an individual? Whoever it is is smart and always seems one step ahead.Devore, Britta (29 March 2023). "Richard Armitage and Charlie Murphy Get Hot and Heavy in a Trailer for Netflix's 'Obsession' ". Collider . Retrieved 10 April 2023. The spice was excellent. I feel like each book gets a little spicier. We knew Aiden's book would be good given his horn dog history, and the author didn't disappoint. Part of the reason Deadly Obsession turned out to be one of my favorites of the series is the plot itself and the serial killer. Talk about an original take on a serial killer! I loved the references to the past (I recognized more than one name as I do love my true crime as well) and how everything was incorporated into the story... The plot development and investigation itself were entertaining to follow, and I liked the building up of suspense and how the plot twists were incorporated into the plot.

The four-part series has been described as an ‘erotic thriller’. [6] Discussing the sex scenes within the project Lloyd Malcolm told Zoe Williams of The Guardian that “The book is so particular about the kind of sex they’re having and the way they do it and how that feeds into their relationship.” She added that “it has to be quite a vanilla version of kink, because it’s mainstream TV” but it “was really important to me to not be saying anything like: ‘BDSM sex is bad sex,’” [7] Broadcast [ edit ] Lynette is not thrilled about the news, and in addition to stalking Sam Austin in his son, she breaks into Casey’s house… with a hammer. Then she grabs a butcher knife and stabs Casey’s clothing while laughing like the stepsisters from Cinderella. The body of a naked woman is discovered in a Manchester park. Her murder has all the hallmarks of a notorious killer known as the Suffolk Strangler. But there’s a problem – the Strangler is serving a life sentence in prison. According to WLBT, the couple has been working in the film industry for over 20 years. Together, they operate The Peoples Network, directing and producing over 100 films. The forensic psychologist who is brought in to profile the serial killer is a cool character. She gives the crimes a lot of interesting analysis at a depth I don’t usually see in detective novels, yet it never felt like awkward fact dumping. I quite enjoyed the addition of her character.
