Guess promises between three and five days of battery life for the Guess Connect smartwatch, but during my testing, it frequently lasted about two days on a full charge. The Pebble Time Round lasts about two days as well, but the Pebble Time and Time Steel can last five to seven days. Interacting with the Guess Connect primarily requires pushing the knobs on its right side. Holding down the lower button turns the watch on, and pushing the upper knob once launches the voice-control tool. When the Connect is on, pressing the bottom button lets you scroll through the watch's menu, while the upper button lets you select options. The menu options are Music Mode, Volume, Light, Do Not Disturb, Camera Mode, Stopwatch, Find Phone and Setup.The Time is one of the few options on this list that are primarily aimed at women, which allows it to concentrate on features other smartwatches might not have even thought about. It’s a cumbersome process, especially since the buttons require quite some force to press. It can get really tedious if you miss your option while you're scrolling through the menu, as you have to loop through all the other choices to get to your desired function again. Voice controls are also more promising. The Connect hooks up to either Siri or Google Voice on your smartphone, it's compatible with both iPhone and Android, and you can access your voice assistant by pressing the 'up' button on the side of the watch. The app itself is pretty barebones. You can control which notifications you receive on the OLED display and customize alert vibrations for each (using a series of vibrations and pauses). The vibrations will let you know what kind of message you've receiving without needing to look at your wrist. iPhone owners can receive alerts from every notification displayed in Apple's Notification Center. Android users can receive notifications from any installed app that provides push notifications. It's got the look of a Swatch Pop and comes in three different looks, including the mint version above. The OLED display shows off smarts, which include the ability to view notifications, reject phone calls or respond with a text (Android only). You pay a lot, but in return, you're getting on-trend looks, sapphire crystal protecting the watch face, and Italian leather straps. All models are water resistant for up to 100 meters, though you're more likely to jump in the shower with them than go for a swim. Most wearables will get about a day of battery life, which will be disappointing if you're converting from a Garmin watch that lasts weeks.
