All Korg products come with a 2-year warranty. When buying direct from Korg UK, we extend your standard warranty to 3 years, free of charge! The Korg B2 does come with a three-pedal setup and a furniture-style stand. Thus it can adapt seamlessly inside the living room and add to the room’s elegance and décor. One notable feature of this piano is its large speaker grill, which is located right at the front panel of the board, above its key bed and controls. We reviewed the Korg B1 (and by extension, the B1SP model, which featured some extra accessories) a while ago, and we found it to be a decent beginner piano with terrific sounds, but a limited feature set that lagged behind the competition. You hereby agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the aforementioned territory, without regards to conflicts of law provisions.

Korg warrants that the Licensed Program when properly used will provide the facilities and functions as described in the accompanying documentation but does not warrant that the operation of the Licensed Program will be uninterrupted or error-free.Essentially, if I were to play one key three times in a row, the B2 has a chance of triggering different samples each time, recreating the experience of playing a real piano, where no two notes ever sound the same. A dedicated stand that matches the colour of the B2 is included. Two horizontal boards act as beams to securely join both legs. The elegant design conceals the player’s feet and has the look of a refined upright piano. Three-pedal unit attaches to the stand. Korg lists the B2 as having a maximum 120 voices of polyphony, in line with the other competitors in this price range. Having worked in the music industry for over 10 years, Lucas found passion in helping others choose the most suitable music gear for them.

The sound of the onboard speakers is an important consideration, but we’d suggest you compare these in person. In our testing, Korg and Yamaha’s speakers sounded fuller and more lifelike than the Casio. All three of these pianos include a range of instrument sounds to play with, but focus primarily on acoustic piano. A particular standout was the Korg B2’s Italian Grand which sounds both warm and dynamic, suitable for a range of styles from pop to classical. Be sure to watch our video comparison to hear how these pianos sound and decide for yourself which one you prefer. And lastly, the Korg B2 has an app called Korg Module. It is an app for iOS, and it has a high-quality library of sounds that you can plug it into the USB to Host port. You can use a USB cableto connect this instrument's USB port to your smartphone, tablet, or computer, and use the B2 as a MIDI keyboard to play an external sound module. Your performance on the B2 can be recorded as music data on your smartphone, and sound from your smartphone can be heard through the speakers of the B2. Convenience and Functionality If you know anything about Korg, you'll know they have a stellar reputation for killer sounds, and the B2 certainly doesn't sully that reputation. While there isn't an abundance of voices, what is present are 12 very high-quality sounds. We found the piano tones to be bright and articulate, with a rich and satisfying low end. Let's face it, most people just want their piano to be, well, a piano and will never stray into other sounds. If that's you, then you needn't worry about the B2, as it most definitely delivers on the piano front. Instead B2 has so called Partner mode, which can split the keyboard into two equal parts and allows teacher to play along with the student with the same sound. Partner mode is similar to Split mode, the difference is that in Partner mode you can’t select different voices for left and right keyboard zones. The Korg B2 weighs around 11.4 kg / 25.13 lbs. and the dimension is around 51.6″ x 13.2″ x 4.6″ (131.2 x 33.6 x 11.7 cm)

These keys include escapement, triple-sensors, and also synthetic ivory key surfaces, making them feel excellent and a joy to play. Most digital pianos and keyboards come with layer and split modes. Sadly, Korg failed to include these modes in the B2 series. The keybed responds as you’d expect, though rapid repeated key presses sometimes fail to register (we’re talking really fast though). The keys are graded, so the keys at the lower registers are heavier than those at higher registers. If you want to practice and you want to learn how to play the piano, this piano is for you. It is portable and usable, no matter where you are.

This instrument uses a Natural Weighted Hammer Action (NH) keyboard that reproduces the same feel that results from the hammers on a real acoustic piano, where the low register is heavier and the high register is lighter. The keybed is sensitive and responds to nuanced touch at the tip of your fingers. USB MIDI/Audio
