The programming took me about half an hour to an hour I think, takes some getting used to but very doable nonetheless. The feeder serves it’s meals in portions. A portion is roughly 12 grams of dry pellets, you can serve as many portions per meal as you like, with a maximum of 39 – ideal for a multiple cat household. It can dispense as many as 4 meals per day. This C 3000 model comes with a programmable probe and a lid that will keep debris from accumulating. The patented Fast Start Drain prevents excessive food from accumulating which makes clean up easy. Cleaning the feeder is easy as the removable tray does not need to be disassembled. There are also no messy bowls to wash or replace. This feeder is dishwasher safe and is also safe for using in the microwave. Batteries: It can dispense very small portions of food making it ideal for cats with very specific dietary needs.
