Love Struck doesn't really live up to its Vera Wang predecessors - but the gorgeous burst of fruity-florals brought out the inner child in me. Founder of Scent Selective, Gideon is a fragrance entrepreneur fascinated by the world of fragrances. Compared to Vera Wang’s other fragrance offerings, this perfume bottle is disarmingly uncomplicated: clean, unfussy lines, a trim title, the brand logo tastefully understated. I bought this scent for my daughter because she fell for the adorable bottle, but I find myself wearing it often for a quick spritz of prettiness. Its so refreshing and light, I try my best to save it up for special occations because it is very expensive, but I cant help myself.

Be Jeweled has a long sillage but does dissipate a little faster than some other Vera Wang perfumes, drifting off after about three to four hours. I don't know I should wear it in the summer or in the winter :( I think I'll give it a try when days are getting cooler. Then the berries mellow out and jasmine and vanilla stay close to the skin, settling into a warm, snuggly, vanilla-musky base. The shower gel packaging is poor quality as well and it comes off in the shower and the lotion is very powdery and doesn't smell much like the scent (I found this with princess too). this smells like nothing special at first spritz, then turns into an awful plasticky scent, and then into a soft, bearable but uninteresting floral with the plasticky smell present just hidden in the background.

Being a huge fan of gossip girl (back then, not so much anymore), I remember Leighton Meester advertising this perfume, wearing that gorgeous dress. Notes-wise, it's hard to pick much out from the wall of "sweet pink flowery" - the Guava seems to be what's giving this the sparkly almost overpowering, juicy sweetness - and I seem to be getting a bit of elegant, watery lotus from time which does lighten it up a bit. LOVESTRUCK smells suspiciously similar to some other designer perfumes which I've tasted [sic] of late.Don't let it fool you thinking it's one of those innocent floral, it might seem that way but let it settle and the subtal wood and musk come out to play. I wore it earlier in the year and remember liking it and finishing my bottle but I think it was only because I couldn't afford anything else at the time. I think it can be perfect for any occasion, but when I smell it, I picture an outdoor wedding or a spring day walking at the park.

For the past two years I've been trying to place the luscious, tropical scent wafting off of my friend, and when I accidentally picked up the Lovestruck body lotion (it was cheap and mislabeled as a fragrance) she finally informed me that this was her go to scent. Vera Wang likes soft fruity scents, Lovestruck isnt that great, I expected a scent with some punch, and like the Princess line it is quite bland, pretty but not extraordinary, and young .

This scent is definitely an excellent spring/ summer pick- the guava and lotus opening is fresh and gorgeous, and when the tuberose note set in. However, I had a feeling it wouldn't be a super noticeable fragrance, and that I'd be fairly safe in it (I try not to be ostentatious in there), and I was right. Guava is dominant and makes it tropical and fruity-it lasts for a while and then it just dissapears !

I'm always nervous when smelling a perfume I know nothing about for the first time, especially one that someone else has picked out for me. The floral notes smell gorgeous, and it lasts very long on me, I could still smell it on me for about 8 hrs. Perhaps samples should just be free, period, with no strings attached, but this is the way things have evolved in the twenty-first-century mainstream perfume industry.
