Description

If your feet feel cramped or you regularly get blisters, bunions, corns, or calluses — or if your toes or feet feel like they’re falling asleep — your current shoes might be too tight. BUY: Saucony Men's Echelon 8 Best Running Shoes for Women with Flat Feet - New Balance Fresh Foam 860v13 The Saucony Echelon 8 is designed with mesh uppers, perfect for allowing breathability and airflow to the foot. The New Balance Fresh Foam 860v13 works well for women specifically because it runs smaller and narrower than other running shoes. And for those with flat feet, it provides arch support for cushioning, as well as a medial post to keep your foot from overpronation. Available in both wide and narrow size options, the stability and structure this shoe offers will keep your feet and ankles safe and secure during your runs. But unlike other stability options, it doesn't sacrifice comfort to do so. It has plenty of soft, comfortable cushioning that provides that bounce we look for in an elite running shoe. Keep in mind that because this shoe is focused on stability, it may not perform as well in speed training. What We Like

We also like how ASICS has customized the Gel-Kayano 28 to work with the differences in gait between men and women. While it may be a pricier option, its performance, durability, and classic design make it our top choice for runners with flat feet. What We Like New Balance tops the list of brands that specialize in wide feet. But sometimes, wide and W-wide shoes are too big for certain feet. And that’s where the Fresh Foam 1080v11 comes in. This running shoe is designed for slightly wider than average feet, giving runners just a bit more room in the toe box, and it’s also available in wide sizes. BUY: Brooks Launch 8 Running Shoes Best Cushioning Running Shoes for Flat Feet - Saucony Endorphin Shift 2The outsole has been decently durable as it has extensive rubber coverage. After 30 miles (and wearing these every day to work) there is some mild outsole abrasion at my normal posterior lateral left heel. There has been a slight increase in wear at the central forefoot (exposed midsole), but it has not affected the ride. The rubber does give excellent traction on smooth surfaces. I have had no trouble with dry or wet road conditions. The Echelon 9 grips extremely well on smooth indoor surfaces and I have had no trouble in clinic or teaching. It does fine on smooth trails, but I would not use it for more aggressive ones as it is a road shoe. Because it’s made for a smooth ride, the Arahi 6 is a solid choice whether you want a daily runner or a shoe that can take you through marathon training. Some updated features to this version include an extended pull tab at the heel, additional cushion on the tongue for added comfort, and a mesh upper to enhance breathability. The outsoles held up amazingly against rough pavement. I expect that this pair will last me for quite some time. Because these are designed for trail running, they do run a bit heavier than other shoes on this list. However, this heavier design comes with better stability—an important feature that can keep you safe and protected on various kinds of terrains. What We Like

Rigid flat feet are less common and are usually the result of genetic or anatomical differences. They generally require more involved treatments such as surgery or bracing. Shoe TypeOrthotics that slide into your shoes take up room and may require a different shoe size — even if you remove the existing insoles. This cushioning stands high at 38 millimeters in the heel and 34 millimeters in the forefoot, which results in a stiffer shoe that keeps your foot elevated off the ground. While the design is ideal for flat feet, it's not the best trail running shoe. Also keep in mind that the extra cushioning adds weight, which is why this shoe is one of the heaviest we've featured at roughly 10 ounces. What We Like Although I have tried other models that easily accommodate my orthotics (for example, the ASICS Cumulus series), I have never before found a shoe that is designed specifically for people who use aftermarket insoles. I very highly recommend this shoe model to anyone else with this specific need. Secure, snug foothold Our selection for best overall running shoes for flat feet is the ASICS Gel-Kayano 28 because it provides a combination of neutral and stability arch support that's ideal for flat feet. Its midsole is specifically constructed to gently discourage overpronation (a common gait problem among runners with flat feet) and t. Supportive gel in the sole provides the bounce of foam without making it more vulnerable to wear and tear. The sole manages to be both flexible and stable, which is a rare combination among running shoes. It doesn't matter how well a shoe fits your arches if it's too narrow it won't be comfortable for walking and running. And while many running shoes do come with wide size options, it's even better to find a pair that doesn't require special sizing to work with your feet. The Saucony's Men's Echelon 8 offers neutral arch support with a wider sole. Its wider toe box encourages a natural gait, and the ample cushioning keeps you comfortable through even the longest runs. The Echelon 8 also has a removable insole, which is great if you'd prefer to use custom orthotic insoles for flat feet in your running shoes.

If you have ever run in a pair of shoes that weren't comfortable, you will understand the importance of comfort. Saucony has a reputation for making insanely comfortable shoes, they are the perfect brand for both flat-footed runners and runners who use orthotics. Asics makes good running shoes for all foot types. For wide feet, the Asics GT-2000 10, which comes in 2E and 4E widths, is a solid choice. The upper of this Saucony model is perforated and very breathable. It allows air to pass over the foot during running. My feet remained fresh and ventilated at all times. The upper of this shoe also felt comfortable and did not cause any chafing. Supportive external heel counter Whether you are taking a gentle stroll or going for an easier road run, the Echelon 8 will most certainly provide you with the comfort you desire when you're pounding the pavement.

Triathlon Events

When looking for a wide running shoe, the first thing to consider is your feet. If you tend to have a wide toe box but a narrow foot, you may not need a shoe that is wide throughout. Instead, a shoe that has a wide or roomy toe box might provide enough space.
