Absorption Charge - Lowers the charge rate & gives a topping charge to ensure the battery is charged to 100%

A professional switch mode charger designed to automatically maintain, optimise and prolong the life of a 12volt battery. It can be left permanently connected to provide guaranteed long-term battery care. Heavily discharged batteries as low as 4.1V can be charged if the battery is not damaged. Smart charging is all about monitoring the battery condition, applying the correct rate of charge at the right time to keep the battery healthy but also to optimise power consumption by a unit designed to be left plugged-in.The solution, of course, is to leave your bike with its battery on charge when it’s not being used. This is particularly true for bikes that are laid up for winter, and in this case, a battery optimiser/maintainer can be useful, as it not only charges the battery but it carries out a series of conditioning cycles.

Is this charge suitable for Lithium Batteries. I have read some manufacturer statements saying as long as they are not left on for long periods and the chargers don't charge at 15+ volts they should befine? January 29, 2018 AnswerThe Oximiser 3X can be used on lithium batteries, however all our other chargers have not been tested to be used on lithium batteries. Does it mean you can connect it to your bike whilst you are riding it, or just when it is instorage? November 30, 2011 If the battery is deeply discharged to approximately 4.1 Volts, the Oximiser 900 will charge at up to 900mA/hr until it reaches 11.8 Volts and the bulk charge mode (The Oximiser 900 will otherwise apply a gentle charge up-to 200mA/h to ensure the battery is brought up to a fullcharge).Maintain Mode - Automatically applies an appropriate charge if voltage drops outside acceptable limits to ensure the battery voltage and condition remains perfect If the battery is damaged, the Oximiser won’t attempt to recover it. If the battery is below 8V it will display as ‘weak’ and won’t attempt to recover it. If the battery is holding more than 8V the Oximiser will go into ‘recover’ mode, giving the battery a soft start charge at very low current. If the initial voltage is 12.5V or more, it goes straight into ‘charge’ mode. I tried what you suggested Matt, didn't seem to make any difference. Doesn't deliver any current to the discharged battery at all. The charger works fine on the other battery though, but the resting voltage of mine is about 10.1v, surely that's chargeable? Tempted to jump out to tesco and grab a cheapo charger and see if it works. I can't even use the other battery from the ZX7R in the 10R as its far too big. Bulk Fast Charge means that the Optimiser charges at a fast rate to bring the battery to approximately 85%capacity Attach to your battery and it will charge until the battery has reached full capacity and thereafter ensure it is kept in a tip-top condition. If the battery is deeply discharged it will recover it with a varying charge rate and then it never drops below the critical voltage level of 12.6V. The digital displays and battery level indicators keep you informed every step of the way. They are suitable for a variety of vehicle batteries.

Oximiser 900 can be left permanently connected to provide guaranteed long term battery care. Suitable for all 12V ...

The other important point to consider is, depending on the brand, age, condition, and number of 'life cycles' for the offending battery it may be BER (Beyond Economical Repair). If this is hooked up to the mains and battery whilst still hooked to the bike with the O connector cables, can it be used to jump start thebike? January 7, 2020 The oxford 3x is oxford's most versatile, most powerful, multi purpose battery maintenance product. It offers not one ... It has a 6a output, which gives it a decent amount of punch when it comes to topping up low batteries in a pinch. My bike wouldn't start after a month of autumn inactivity, but a 30-minute top-up from the Ring charger had it firing on the button again. Lesson learned - just leave it plugged in.

I don't really want to try push some juice into it with the other battery, as I don't fancy trying to bump start the ZX7R at 8am tomorrow in case of failure/battery death. Aprilia RS125 - Kawasaki ZXR400 - Triumph Street Triple R - Suzuki GSXR1000 L3 - BMW R1200GS - Kawasaki Z1000 - Kawasaki ZX10R C1H - Ducati Multistrada 1200 S Touring - Suzuki Hayabusa Once fully charged the Oximiser 3X stops charging and monitors the battery for an hour to establish if can hold a full charge. The ‘Maintain’ light flashes during this period. If the battery can’t hold its charge the ‘weak battery’ light comes on and the Oximiser 3X will keep charging until the battery is able to hold a charge. If it still fails to do so after three charges, the ‘weak’ light flashes and charging stops.
