Description

I was just googling mamia size 4 because my 3 months old baby is due to move onto her next size and was wondering if mamia 4 is good. Discover more about “Made in Italy”, a label synonymous throughout the world with refined materials, attention to detail, and creativity. Suitable for babies weighing 3-6kg (6-13lbs), the nappies are soft and breathable and have resealable fasteners. And with countless changes each day (and long, sleepless night) you end up spending a lot of cash on them. We decided to only use these nappies in the day until we run out but they’re not great for daytime use either.

The reusable nappy market is growing and rightly so, with millions of disposable nappies filling up landfill every single day, a reusable nappy is not only better for the environment but great for your wallet to.

Aldi says its nappies have an ultra-dry air system with a fast-absorbing core to keep your baby dry for up to 12 hours. I’ve never had a problem with the Aldi ones myself and we’ve used them in all sizes from size 1 to 5. I have had no leaks, rashes or iritations with Aldi nappies so wont be changing anytime soon, i wish Aldi was around when i had my previous child as i would of saved a fortune and my baby would of been happier. This eco-conscious disposable range promises a nappy made from natural and renewable materials, but with great comfort for baby and convenience for parents. Note: Only nappies within each type are directly comparable to one another, so use our filter tool to sort by type (newborn, infant, crawler, etc).

I love the mamia premium ones, my mum got be a jumbo pack of the standard ones and we tried 3/4 out of the pack and they all leaked! You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. Our reviews and articles are written by parents who are professional journalists, and we also include feedback from our parent community and industry experts. The Mamia nappies “wings” are much wider and offer more protection and the flaps where the Velcro is, is also much wider and gives Mamia a better fit. The thickness is about the same and when you open them up like this (above) they look quite similar and feel pretty much the same too. They have overlapping tapes for a more secure fit, leg cuffs to protect against leaks and a shaped core to provide more comfort. I don’t mind the brand Pampers at all — actually their baby wipes are among the best ones on the market — but these nappies are just not good enough and do not live up to their promises. If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag. The Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) are international organisations that work to promote sustainable and responsible forest management.

For newborn nappies each gush is 30mL, for infant nappies it's 40mL, for crawler nappies it's 50mL, for toddler nappies it's 55mL, for walker nappies it's 60mL and for junior nappies it's 65mL.

I agree size 3 was a total different quality - felt thinner and no wetness indicator but honestly they do the job and no leaks! If you're looking for a more sustainable option, Pura is giving away a free 24-pack of its 100% biodegradable baby wipes.

And they live up their promise of keeping skin fresh and dry … In a poll of 89 Netmums members, 99% would recommend Aldi Mamia Newborn Premium Dry Fast 2 Mini Nappies to other parents. Like I mention at the bottom of the post, I have since tried other nappies from Pampers without the same issues. The Pampers nappies’ absorbent padding goes higher up at the back so should be better at preventing against leaks on that end. The absorbent pulp is made from sustainably harvested Scandinavian forests, with a centre channel for a less bulky fit. We tried one of these overnight and less than 12 hours later when my daughter woke up, her nappy was soaked and wet on the outside and had leaked through her cotton sleepsuit and her thick fleece sleepsuit, too!We have tried a few nappies and so far all of them leak when she poops but the Aldi ones seem to keep it in. We also discovered that my baby’s bum and genitals went red after every time she’d worn one of these — no matter if she wore it for 2 hours or 12.
