A good solid mat for everyday use I just started model making after a 30 year gap and am using our dining table as a work surface so it was needed to protect this from any sharp objects or paint. It can definitely take a beating and the mat still holds up just fine. The only thing I would recommend is keep sandpaper or anything that could grind away at this away, as all numbers and lines are printed on. I accidentally hit a number with the rotary tool while sanding and the number has completely disappeared.
