Selected night scenes from the film were 5% flashed at the laboratory, which boosts contrast and enhances detail in the darker parts of the frame. While he is skeptical at first, he does and the two discover that they feel alive after their fight, and decide to do it more often.

In particular the green flowers, in the 1999 transfer they are so faint that they almost disappear into the background, but in the 2008 transfer they really jump out along with the brown stain on the image.Clever, savagely witty and dark, Fight Club: 10th Anniversary Edition, arrives on Blu-ray on 23rd November from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. I'm pleased to report that this BD release boasts a surround track that betters the previous R1 DVD's THX certified track, which is no mean feat; highly recommended and a reference grade audio track. This was necessary because the useful part of the resolution of 35mm motion picture film (MTF wise) is already captured in the 1999 transfer.

Extras: Language(s): English, Hard of Hearing Subtitles: English, Interactive Menu, Scene Access, Screen ratio 1:Other, Screen ratio 2:1. The video presentation offers a distinct and worthwhile upgrade from DVD, with a huge amount of detail on show, even through the gloom of the many dimly lit scenes.Metadata in the file suggests it was encoded in May of 2017, which is interesting, because it’s the 1999 transfer, and it looks pretty robust. I was skeptical to say the least on what Fincher could do with this movie, given the excellent and complex novel the film was based on. You get the theatrical trailer and teaser trailer, as well as an unused “The Eight Rules Of Fight Club” piece that was finished just for this disc. Edward Norton stars as Jack, a bored insomniac who is determined to inject some excitement into his life.

One of the most impressive sequences, for me, was always the “plane crash” sequence and on this release it is simply stunning. One of the most amusing features is the “fake” introduction screen which states that this disc is 'Never Been Kissed' starring Drew Barrymore - I can't remember if this was on the regular DVD but it had me cursing the BD producers for such a heinous crime for a couple of minutes! Brain Ride Map- This section has a wealth of drawings concerning this sequence, so you see how the early sketches and descriptions compare to the finished product. In the name of all that is good, you have to see this movie, it is one of the must see movies out there right now.

This really is one of the best audio mixes on disc and if you’ve never heard “Fight Club” in uncompressed sound then this is something you must do before you die. Acclaimed filmmaker and Academy Award nominee David Fincher ( Se7en, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button) spent hours analyzing every shot in his cult classic, making painstaking alterations to almost every frame for this ultimate high-definition release. From these sections you can watch various sections, with commentary by the following people - Kevin Haug (visual effects supervisor), Cliff Wenger (special effects coordinator), Kevin Mack (visual effects supervisor for Digital Domain), and Richard 'Doc' Bailey (digital animation supervisor/producer). It is not the most favored in the series for most, but it has a distinct personality and is a shocking contrast to the other entries in the series. For example, there's that scene after the car crash where Tyler Durden is giving his grand view for a post-apocalyptic utopia. Jack’s Condo- You can video from the location scout or principle photography with this sequence, and audio for the location scout is available. This piece is very short, but packs in some comments from Fincher, some make up shots, and some unique production footage.
