Description

You will begin your turn by rolling both of the dice. This player has rolled both of the dice. They have rolled a three and an apple. The player will move three spaces and have the opportunity to sell apples. In the previous section I mentioned how nice the pictures of furniture looked on their cards, but would you believe me if I said that the rest of this game was also pretty? They're based in convenient locations including supermarkets, newsagents and train stations. Plus they're often open late and on Sundays. I can already hear you asking: if you don’t buy any property then what do you send Bells on? The answer: furniture. The other side of the game’s shop mechanic centres around buying furniture whenever a player reaches GO. Thematically, these would be for decorating your token character’s island getaway, but for the players, they’re lovely pictures on slips of card. Each piece of furniture awards the players more of the game’s scoring points: Nook Miles. Yes, you read that right, the winner of ACNH Monopoly isn’t decided on the amount of Bells the players have clinking together in their coin purse, instead you count up your Nook Miles. Nook Miles are gained in two ways: buying furniture and completing the tasks on Nook Miles cards. The aforementioned cards replace ‘Community Chest’ and simple gameplay tasks that players can achieve either by playing the game normally (selling a certain number of a resource) or directly interacting with a task (paying a few Bells to the Bank).

Includes gameboard, 4 character tokens, 4 Skill cards, 35 Decoration cards, 14 Chance cards, 14 Nook Miles cards, 160 Resource chips, 40 Five-Bell coins, 54 Bell coins, 40 Player markers, 1 numbered die, 1 Nook's Cranny die, label sheet, and game rules. Each player will choose a character and place it on the GO space. They will also take the corresponding Player Markers. You will also receive Nook Miles if you land on those Nook Miles Spaces mentioned above and you draw a card that gives you an opportunity to perform a task to receive those miles. One of the players acquired the following cards during the game. They will score 200 Nook Miles from their Decoration cards (40 + 30 + 20 + 30 + 20 + 20 + 40). They also completed the three Nook Miles cards at the bottom. They will score 20 Nook Miles from the cards. They earned a total of 220 Nook Miles in the game. Keep in mind that you must be eight years or older to play. It’s honestly perfect for a family game night since everyone can get excited as they see several references to the Animal Crossing New Horizons game. In this Animal Crossing Edition Monopoly Game, kids and adults can enjoy island life and immerse themselves in the colorful and creative world of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. After your first trip around the board, you choose a Skill card with an ability you can use throughout the game. Moving around the board with custom tokens inspired by the video game, you complete island tasks and meet other characters. Instead of buying properties and paying rent, you collect bugs, fish, fossils, and fruit. You can also stop at Nook’s Cranny and cash in Bells to buy decorations. These decorations are worth Nook Miles, and the player with the most Nook Miles wins the game!

There are also Monopoly tokens. These are Animal Crossing inspired pieces that you’ll move around the board with. You can search for fossils on the island, catch bugs, and go fishing. Then, you can take your different finds to the museum to showcase the various items you find. In this Monopoly board game, players can enjoy island life and immerse themselves in the colorful and creative world of Animal Crossing New Horizons. Depending on your items, you can also build different things and either sell them or decorate the area. When you go “online,” you can chat with your friends through the Nintendo App while you play.

The property spaces from the original Monopoly game have been replaced with islands in Monopoly: Animal Crossing New Horizons. Another big difference in this game is you are going to be rolling two dice. One dice is your standard 1-6, which tells you how many spaces to move. The other dice has a bug, fish, fossil, fruit, or leaf on it. When you roll this dice, you can sell your resource tiles to the bank based on what your roll. Each time you land on/pass the GO space, you will get to shop at Nook’s Cranny. Before looking at the shop, you will take the action corresponding to the space that you landed on.

Finally, I’d like to mention Skill cards. After a single loop of the board players gain a random special ability (out of four options) that can help them win the game. These really help boost the game’s replayability, since each time you play is slightly different based on which Skill you receive. A 2-D Island Paradise You can also choose to buy, sell or trade resources with other players at any time. Monopoly: Animal Crossing New Horizons End of Game As you go around the board, you’ll be collecting resources and trading them in for Bells. Bells are the currency of money. Monopoly is one of the most classic games you’ll find throughout the years. Today, Monopoly has various themes to choose from depending on your age, hobbies, etc. And honestly, I didn’t mind that it wasn’t a traditional Monopoly game. The Animal Crossing theme was done in a way that should make it a lot of fun for everybody – even someone who isn’t familiar with Animal Crossing. But for those who love the video game – I think they are going to love this board game! You’re still trying to collect a set, though. Once you collect a set, you can build holdfasts and castles. In this edition of the Monopoly game, kids visit islands, collect resources such as bugs, fish, fossils, and fruit. Then sell island resources for Bells, buy decorations, and earn Nook Miles to win
