While we still have a couple of months to wait until Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse hits theatres, Hasbro’s Marvel Legends Across the Spider-Verse figure lineup will be hitting store shelves in just one week. The lineup features eight figures, including favourites like Spider-Gwen, Miles Morales, and Spider-Man 2099, as well as lesser-known characters like The Spot and Spider-Punk. The original film, Into the Spider-Verse, was hailed as one of the best animated movies of all time, with its emotionally rich portrayal of Miles Morales as Spider-Man. From breathtaking animation to spectacular action scenes and a talented voice cast, it’s no surprise that the film took home an Oscar. Based on the trailers and marketing material for Across the Spider-Verse, it’s clear that this sequel is set to deliver everything fans loved about the first film, but on an even grander scale.The paint is really crisp on my Spider-Punk figure. The web-lines are clean, as are the multiple other details. While he himself didn’t necessarily need any paint washes or dry brushing, I feel that it would have really brought out the worn details on his guitar and made the guitar look more realistic. As it is, it sort of reminds me of a cake with white frosting and blue trim. Still, it’s not terrible.
