The 880 provides enough stack and cushion for long runs, but the Triumph 19 midsole is softer and bouncier. It doesn’t have a super springy bounce sensation as you land, but it does eat up the miles and protects your feet and legs with zero compromises. There’s not much to say about this outsole: simple, effective, the grip is good even on wet asphalt, and it works well on light dry trails. However, just like a sibling in a big family, it has struggled to find its place, especially between the Endorphin line, which received all the attention in 2021, and the lighter (until now) Saucony Ride.
