Description

These books are always a highlight in my reading year, and I will continue to read them as long as James Patterson writes them.

While the entire Alex Cross series isn't typically categorized as young adult fiction, "Cross: Fire" could be a suitable read. It's the 17th book in the series and features a younger Alex Cross solving his first murder case. It's not too graphic and focuses on Cross's detective work and family life. If I was in trouble, I would definitely want Alex Cross helping me. He is tough, takes no crap and highly dedicated. He loves his family more than anything, and they are a part of my world now too. How can you not love Nanna Mama and her cooking, or Ali and his keen detective skills. alex and samson are up against a killer who murders whole family.... from the parents to the children to the grandparents...all butchered and no rhyme or reason to it.... My first Alex Cross book. But not my last. Great crime thriller, lots of red herrings and quite an intricate plot. As always, the bonus is that you'll stay acquainted with the goings-on in the Cross household members - Nana Mama and the children Jannie and Ali (less of Damon this time around) that roundout the main characters' lives so well.

What To Read Next

Along Came a Spider killer Gary Soneji has been dead for over ten years. Alex Cross watched him die. But today, Cross saw him gun down his partner. Is Soneji alive? A ghost? Or some... Dropped everything to read this-you know exactly what you’re getting and where you are with an Alex Cross and this is no different. Once again this world renowned author has come out with another thrilling book. This is the latest in the Alex Cross series however it still reads well as a standalone. Alex Cross in fine fettle yet again hunting a killer known as the Family Man killer. The story is pacy and well structured, with the twists and turns we have come to expect from James Patterson. This one was long awaited and all the more enjoyable for that. This book was three books. First book was an Alex cross story, second book was a Women’s Murder Club and the last book was a Michael Bennett book that I had already read. The first two were okay, nothing special and I I have to confess this is the first James Patterson novel I've read, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. What a grippy and twisty ride it was. A new killer strikes at the nation's capital as Alex Cross faces his oldest -- and most dangerous -- nemesis. Detective Alex Cross and Bree Stone's wedding plans are put on hold when Alex is called to the assassination scene of a dirty congressman an...
