For a flow of events reading, the first 5 cards are identical to the basic cross. The other four... Naturally, options abound here. Be creative in your interpretations or just advise your players of the 'rules' of an inverted card and let them come to their own conclusions about what it could mean. Great rage or passion; something bestial or malevolent hiding in plain sight or lurking just below the surface Seer: Warn your players that they need to be clever about whatever is coming. Brute Force likely won't go well Either an additional opposing force of significantly greater magnitude, or a clarification on Card 3

The Six of Stars (Evoker) could be inverted to represent power under control or magic used for constructive ends

of Swords (Hooded One) - many adventurers will simply miss the Amber Temple, and the Ravenloft lore there is wonderful and terrible.

Me (as Madam Eva): "Who's giving this tarot reading, young man? Have you got the Second Sight? No? I didn't think so. Sit down and stay silent or I'm turning this tarot reading around right now and we can all go home." Refers to a (possible) future of the subject. Drawing the cards beforehand so I can work on my acting/telling of the results, and using sleight of hand to re-draw the same cards. Keep in mind, you can also use an Inverted card to represent a character. An inverted Two of Stars (Diviner) could represent Victor Vallakovich, carrying the idea of pursuit of knowledge, but without wisdom tempering that pursuit. Sometimes the name is a reference. The Broken One might refer to an actual broken thing, rather than the more complex representation listed in the book. The Pyramid is a highly specific reading that is designed to predict a final outcome, and the route one must take to get there. It is a much more advanced form of the 'Flow of Events' cross readings, but the added complexity can make it much more confusing. It's also a notable hook into the adventure, since the characters are given some sense of what they are in Ravenloft to undertake. I'm looking for help from those experienced running the campaign on how to spice up this moment.
