Matt: Thanks for the comments, I really appreciate it. I’m lining up some more similar “simple” articles that should be up shortly, so hopefully you’ll enjoy those as well. Silicon by nature absorbs the UV. You don't need to add other types of UV protectant because it's the silicone that does the UV protection. You can buy 100% silicone spray, electricians use it to protect electrical equipment from UV too and is also used by people to protect rubber seals, same as your everyday protectants like Armor All. When it comes to protecting your valuable surfaces, 303 Aerospace Protectant is a game-changer. Not only does it provide exceptional UV protection, but it also offers a range of other benefits that make it a must-have product for any maintenance routine. Protection Against Harmful UV Rays As far as the 2007 reformulation other more toxic ingredients like diethyl glycol were removed, likely replaced with propylene glycol. Which is the same surfactant in Aerospace 303. So now Armor All is likely the same exact formula as Aerospace 303 hence why that Mike-in-Ornage guy will even admit that their very own Meguiars product doesn't have any real advantage compared to Armor All except the lower shine. Which of course can be replicated simply by watering the protectant down.

But if you're looking for a pure inexpensive substitute with the same characteristics as DOT 5, simply use the 100% water free silicone-based tire shine sprays. It'll cost you less than DOT 5 brake fluid and will be 100% safe for plastics. It will offer the most UV protection and will most definitely last the longest and will fog the inside of your windshield the least because it has no surfactants. Great for use on a variety of surfaces such as: vinyl, leather, plastics, synthetic & natural rubber, PVC, gel coat & fibreglass. Occasionally you may need to return an item which you have received, if you are not satisfied with your item you can return the item to uswithin 14 daysof receipt.

Aerospace 303 the percentage of silicone is actually stated in the MSDS. So that's easy enough. And simply do this test weigh Aerospace 303 before drying and after. Then do the same with Armor All. If you're unwilling to even do this, you have no standing to just assume I have no idea what I'm talking about. Now that we understand the basics, let's explore the scientific aspects that make 303 Aerospace Protectant truly exceptional. The 303 Aerospace Protectant (303 AP) is a major tool in any detailer’s arsenal. It is not only very good at what it does, but it is so easy to apply and serves so many various functions that it’s a no brainer to have and keep for good.

Originally engineered for aerospace and aviation applications, 303 Aerospace Protectant has found its way into millions of homes for day-to-day use on vehicles, sports equipment, patio furniture accessories and more. Now that your surfaces are protected, it's important to understand how to maintain and care for them effectively. Reapplication Frequency

Below is a very short guide on how I like to use the 303 AP and a few photos to show the results. I prefer a dark matte surface on pretty much anything I condition and protect, which is why I use 303 AP for almost any sort of dressing or conditioning that I’ll be doing on a vehicle. For this guide, I used a small trim piece from my 93 BMW 325i to show what 303 AP can achieve in a very short period of time. The trim piece is roughly 6” x 2” in size for reference. Detailing cars is where it’s at, these days. Not washing, not cleaning, detailing. By which we of course mean labouring over every, ahem, detail in the pursuit of vehicular perfection. And we can tell you first hand that while it might seem somewhat insane to clean out your air vents with cotton buds, it’s actually really darn satisfying. There is a pleasing satisfaction that comes from having a clean car. And then of course there is the fact that detailing is open to all of us. You don’t need to be a mechanical master, you don’t need a garage full of expensive tools. You do, however, need the right detailing kit, and this Aerospace 303 protectant should be on your kit list. Start by shaking the bottle of 303 Aerospace Protectant well to ensure proper mixing of the formula. This step is crucial as it helps to activate the ingredients and ensures an even distribution of the protectant. After cleaning, rinse the surface thoroughly with clean water to remove any soap residue. Allow the surface to air dry completely before proceeding with the application of 303 Aerospace Protectant. Step-by-Step Application Guide The amount of plasticizer is to keep the various seals all nice and soft, but that might not be the best idea for hard vinyl plastics as rubber seals benefit from extra softening conditioners and plasticizers, hard vinyl might be a little more unpredicatble what kind of reactions will take place.

Gummi fledge is also very good and i use this also aswell as zymol vinyl although the name is misleading. Think about your outdoor furniture. Constant exposure to the elements can take a toll on its appearance and structural integrity. However, by regularly applying 303 Aerospace Protectant, you can protect your furniture from the damaging effects of rain, snow, and even saltwater. The protectant forms a barrier that repels water and prevents it from seeping into the material, ensuring that your furniture remains in top condition for years to come. But that's not all. 303 Aerospace Protectant also has remarkable anti-static properties. Have you ever noticed how dust and dirt seem to magically cling to certain surfaces? Well, that's because those surfaces have a static charge that attracts particles. However, with 303 Aerospace Protectant, this is no longer a problem. The anti-static properties of this protectant repel dust and dirt, keeping surfaces cleaner for longer. Say goodbye to constantly dusting and cleaning your surfaces! When it comes to cleaning surfaces treated with 303 Aerospace Protectant, use a mild soap or detergent and a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or brushes, as these may damage the protective layer. Regular cleaning, along with the protectant's abilities, will keep your surfaces looking pristine for years to come. No other protectant beautifies as intensely or preserves as powerfully. Keep UV-sensitive materials looking new, year after year.

All of the thin milky protectants are just a PDMS (silicone) solution that is the active ingredient nothing else. Hence why as far as ingredients go none other are listed in the MSDS. The description alone makes my review useless to a degree :), but I’ll try anyway to further explain the product’s advantages. Furthermore, 303 Aerospace Protectant goes beyond just protecting and repelling. It also nourishes and revitalizes surfaces, thanks to its powerful conditioners. These conditioners penetrate deep into the surface, rejuvenating and restoring the material. Whether it's vinyl, rubber, plastic, or leather, this protectant will extend the lifespan of treated materials, keeping them looking and feeling like new. When it comes to Microlights and other dacron covered aircraft It is a fact that in five months of continuous exposure to sunlight, Dacron will loose 85% of it's tear strength. Now that we've established what 303 Aerospace Protectant is, let's dive into its key features that make it a must-have for anyone looking to protect their valuable surfaces.

Customer reviews

Convertible tops, soft tops, boat enclosures, tonneau covers, vinyl caravan awnings…these are just a few of the places that benefit from this protectant that contains an SPF 40 sunscreen. But the active ingredient is PDMS, that's the actual protectant that does all the UV protection. Aerospace 303 isn't anything special, what they've managed to do is convince people to pay a lot of money for essentially watered down Armor All. I'm not making this up either. Use only on clean surfaces. For best results use 303® Multi-Surface Cleaner first. Place a cloth under the cleaner to be treated to catch any overspray. Out of direct sun, spray surface with 303® Aerospace Protectant and WIPE COMPLETELY DRY. If streaking occurs, too much product has been used. Use a wet towel to remove excess, IMMEDIATELY WIPE COMPLETELY DRY. As you can see, the Aerospace 303 did a rather excellent job. The hard plastics look deep and rich in colour, the hoses are free of any remaining dirt and they also have a rich colour to them. In terms of effort against result, this product is incredible. We literally sprayed it on, left it, them wiped over the engine bay. That’s it. We could have gone mad with detailing brushes and the like, but, you know… it’s a Streetwise. We wanted to use Aerospace 303 in the most casual way, as that’s how most people will indeed use it. And given the impressive results, they – and we – will keep using it. A couple of weeks later, the engine bay still looked as good as the day we cleaned it. Being under a bonnet does of course make the UV protection offered somewhat moot. However, the product offers around four weeks of protection for exposed plastics.
