The big fitness changes come in the form of a new 3-in-1 BioActive Sensor that enables the watch to monitor heart rate, blood oxygen levels and body composition. The default setting for snoring detection is off. Users can turn the setting on through their smartphone at anytime using the Samsung Health App 6.18 version or above. The Watch 4 features Samsung’s own Exynos W920 chipset and 1.5GB of RAM. Throughout our testing time we’ve found this to be enough power to run a variety of apps smoothly without any slowdown. On the health front, the Watch4 series has a new three-in-one BioActive Sensor, which can not only read your heart rate and take an ECG, but also assess your body composition using a process called bioelectric impedance analysis (BIA). Commonly used in smart scales, BIA involves sending a low-level electrical current through your body to measure fat and other metrics. You can't feel this happening, but the small electric current can affect pacemakers and other internal medical devices, so you shouldn't use the watch to measure your body composition if you have one, or if you're pregnant. As with the standard Galaxy Watch 4 though, you can often find the Watch 4 Classic at reduced prices.
