Its almost a shame to say you like Sauvage EDT nowdays, and i admit i like it even if its not my favourite, but sadly i don't really connect with Elixir. Allantoin: Ideal for those with dry, sensitive skin that’s prone to itchiness, allantoin is a common aftershave ingredient that helps relieve everything from razor burns to diaper rashes. It can be incredibly moisturizing when combined with other hydrating ingredients. Blue’ fragrances are easy to come by but few have been as well received as Dior Sauvage and Bleu de Chanel. If you’re looking to make a choice, both of these perfumes are on the top tier, but the similarities make it difficult to choose one. There’s a degree of simplicity to the heart notes of Bleu de Chanel where the perfumer for Dior creates a much more complex combination of accords. Again, Dior leans much more towards being a peppery, spicy scent whereas Bleu de Chanel has a floral hit and a woody character thanks to the iso E super and jasmine. Keep getting whiffs of this and it's very good - smooth but spicy, lavender coming through, quite intoxicating.

I have the EDT version. I tried elixir yesterday. It has very little in common with the EDT version. EDT version is more sweet and more refined I would say. One of the things that makes Bleu de Chanel stand out to me is its immediately identifiable fragrance. It smells incredibly fresh and uplifting at the head but becomes much more subtle and warm as it dries down. My Impression On The Performance Of Bleu de Chanel There’s no denying that both of these scents have been iconic in their own right since they were released. However, Sauvage just pips BdC to the post if you’re looking for a timeless fragrance. Bleu de Chanel is definitely a more youthful scent while its competitor, Sauvage is more mature and can be worn by guys across the generations.

What’s more, it’s excellent value for money, so if you’re looking for an incredibly easy-to-wear luxury cologne for everyday wear, it won’t be beaten. I agree with some of other reviewers that this is a potent fragrance that bears similarities with the shoulder padded frags of the Eighties: boldness, projection, tenacity. I'm new to researching and buying more niche fragrances etc. so take this with a pinch of salt but i'm also someone who would ask a stranger what fragrance they are wearing, and with this I wouldn't even bat an eye if I smelled this on someone. I know you don't want to go but just in case can you please go along with this?" I begged. I didn't want her anymore unhealthy as she already is. After a minute of contemplating it in her head she slowly nodded. I kissed her lips and got in the drivers seat. After I spreyed the elixir ,in the first 30 minutes, I smelled and lauged on how this Dior brand smell this off/heavy and get prise from a lot of people. Elixir is very heavy, has way less sugary feel compared to edt. Elixir kinda reminds of tea and burnt lemon included. I think it's manly and original smell, but I know this smell before, I don't know and can't explain. It reminds me of a person dressed up as business man. This pafum would not make sense if you're wearing sporty relax fit clothes.

This is very much a middle eastern inspired fragrance, if you like those, then it's a very safe blind buy. It has that warmth and richness but it's thoroughly modern, easily wearable and very high quality. But even if you don't, it's definitely worth trying. I don’t care who or what this offends, or if it tears the very fabric of space time - the Elixir dry down smells like spiced Drakkar Noir - a really high quality, beautifully spiced, Drakkar Noir. That’s not a negative comment, in fact it’s friggin brilliant. It’s so manly, yet mysterious and seductive.

A friend who was with me at the time agreed. He said it smelt 'off' and I had to agree with him that it did indeed smell sour, yet sharp and pungent.
