Description

To spice up the bourbon in the most literal sense, a habanero distillate is produced in the Black Forest using traditional and artisanal methods of flavour extraction. Horse with No Name combines the best of two worlds: the fragrant oak aroma of a fully bodied bourbon, with its floral accompaniments of vanilla and coconut, and a hint of the elegant, fruity sweetness of habanero heat.

Please always read the labels, warnings, and directions provided with the product before using or consuming a product. The long connection between the Royal Navy and rum can be traced back to 1655 and Vice-Admiral William Penn's expedition to the West Indies. An oaky, spicy bourbon-based spirit, Horse With No Name is made with a combination of yellow dent Texas corn, soft red winter wheat and six-row distiller's malt, and then blended with habanero chilli distillate to give it a fruity note. This whiskey is very smooth and warming, a great little addition to the drink cabinet, my grandad used to swear by a small glass of whiskey to keep colds at bay, he would have loved too.The habanero is a spicy and fruity variety of chili pepper whose name indicates something or someone from La Habana (Havana, Cuba). But if you are interested in your bourbon’s, or any whiskey for that matter, you wouldn’t go wrong with picking up a bottle of this whiskey. Whiskey sour: 40ml Horse with No Name, 20ml fresh lemon juice, 10ml sugar syrup, 1 barspoon powdered sugar, cocktail cherry. Following maceration (that is, steeping plant materials in alcohol), the result is carefully distilled in a 100-litre still, diluted with natural spring water and finally left to mellow in earthenware tanks for several months.

Overall, this Habanero Bourbon didn’t last very long at all, I thoroughly enjoyed it and I congratulate Horse with No Name for making such a fantastic drink! The news comes as Pernod Ricard this week made a major move into e-commerce, snapping up upmarket online retailer The Whisky Exchange for an undisclosed sum.Horse with No Name, a new bourbon infused whiskey that has literally swept me off of my feet after my first time trying it. In keeping with the idea that a cobbler should always stick to his last, we decided to partner up with the Firestone and Robertson Distillery in Texas to create the “All Git-Out“ proprietary mash bill. Give all the ingredients a good stir with some ice cubes and serve in a glass garnish with a habanero pepper.

Charring the inside of the barrel caramelises the natural wood sugars that will impart body, colour, and sweet and toasty flavours to the whiskey.

It’s a strange symbiosis, because whisk(e)y makes us spending time offline more than the other way around. The whiskey is made from yellow Texas corn, red soft wheat, six-row distillers malt and a special yeast strain derived from Texas pecans.

An oaky, spicy bourbon-based spirit, Horse With No Name is made with a combination of yellow dent Texas corn, soft red winter wheat and six-row distiller’s malt, and then blended with habanero chilli distillate to give it a fruity note. It also breaks down the lignin, lipids, and tannins in the wood, which infuses vanilla, spice, oak, coconut, and floral flavours into the final product.
