Description

Kyle Books, part of the Octopus Publishing Group, will publish its fourth Wagamama cookbook, W agamama Your Way: Fresh, Flexible Recipes for Body and Mind, on 2nd September 2021.

Of the recipes, he adds: ‘Some will be perfect for relaxed weekends, when you have a little more time on your hands and others can be whipped up in minutes, perfect for a midweek meal. All you need are the fresh ingredients, a healthy appetite and a little pride. The rest is pure enjoyment.’ There is a nice selection of exotic and original desserts. I figure that it’s a good idea to have a dessert already done if you are stir-frying for the main course. Lemongrass and Chilli Crème Caramel with Sake and Star Anise fits the bill for me. It’s full of subtle Asian flavour and just right to finish either a Chinese or Japanese meal. Yummy! Some recipes that I found tempting (not including fish stuff because I have no interest in them; that said, I can see that those who like them will like the recipes here). Each recipe title is explained in a smaller title below it (which I'm not writing here, though some I mention would maybe benefit from it): The Daily Mail described The Wagamama Cookbook as “A must buy”. If you want no-fuss healthy food then this could well become a favourite.urn:oclc:470985147 Republisher_date 20120320164625 Republisher_operator [email protected] Scandate 20120319191927 Scanner scribe17.shenzhen.archive.org Scanningcenter shenzhen Worldcat (source edition)

Wagamama Your Way features more than 70 fresh and vibrant recipes to nourish and inspire. Designed to be flexible for everyday, the dishes include fast and slow meals, store cupboard 'throw togethers' and considered classics. This is the second Hugo Arnold Wagamama book that I have come across, the first being the gorgeous Wagamama – Ways with Noodles. I was impressed by that book and I have an equally good impression of this one. The photographs are almost edible and very stylish. Hugo is a self-confessed greedy man but he has half a dozen books to his name so he knows how to write a bit as well! The distinctive Wagamama flavour originates from the traditional 200-year-old ramen (noodle) shops of Japan which guarantee nourishment with ingredients that cleanse and nurture the mind and body. Suitable for meat-eaters, seafood lovers and vegetarians alike, the 120 recipes have been specially created by the people behind Wagamama's unique house style and concentrate on cooking fresh, quality ingredients in a way that retains maximum flavour and nutrition. With mouth-watering recipes for appetisers and side dishes, hearty soups and stir-fries, and exotic sweet-rice desserts and juices, plus hints and tips on ingredients, equipment, cooking techniques and structuring a meal, this unique collection means that the stylish Wagamama experience is now yours to take home.Whether you want to impress the health-conscious dinner guest or simply feed family and friends good, wholesome meals, this book allows you to recreate the best of Japanese cooking with a selection of delicious, low-fat, one-pot meals which are easy on your time and budget as well as your waistline. Some dishes are easy-ish to turn vegetarian, and one section is just vegetarian dishes. Other sections are bowls, favorites, ramen, side foods, sauce & marinades, plus a few from-scratch recipes. A few drinks are in the vegetarian section at the end. Included besides the recipes are also a shopping list, swap list for some ingredients, talk on skills and some equipment. Following on from the 2019 title Feed Your Soul, the new book will "bring the Wagamama story up to date, with all‐new healthy recipes that reflect their ethos of flexitarian meals, plant‐based ingredients and Asian flavours, emphasising Wagamama's drive for positive eating and positive living, inclusivity and wellbeing" the publisher said. The whole Wagamama ethos is about simplicity and quality – quality not only of ingredients but also of presentation. The Wagamama Cookbook has a DVD attached and it leads you painlessly through the preparation of several dishes and their cooking techniques.

Wagamama isn’t just about noodles, although they are famed for them. The book introduces us to a whole host of dishes. There is plenty for vegetarians as you would expect, but there’s meat and fish, salads and side dishes, and even desserts. Steve Mangleshot, Wagamama’s global executive chef, commented: "We’re passionate about plant‐based eating at Wagamama and our ever‐growing vegan menu was designed to inspire more people to choose plant‐based more often. Just like our menu, we believe this book has a bowl for everyone and just like in our restaurants, you can modify the dishes to meet your dietary needs. wagamama your way is a cookbook filled with flexibility and the fresh Asian flavours that Wagamama is synonymous with." There are photos for many recipes. The author writes food columns, and has written other cookbooks too (at least one award won, so far, too).
