Like any teenager, Lorcan now likes his own space, which is easy enough to find in their 10-bedroom home. With this tragic coronavirus situation and more people reading, they are looking at re-issuing my old books.

One of her best known stories is The Talisman, published in 1987, closely followed by Bella Mafia in 1990. She must decide if she will risk her life to bring the killer to justice simply to claim the reward, or if she should leave the task to someone more experience, more willing, and more trusting than she will ever be able to trust herself after her difficult and harrowing past. She then turned to writing - and made her breakthrough with the phenomenally successful TV series Widows.

Fiona Barton’s The Suspect was published on the 24th January 2019 and is the fourth crime novel from The Sunday Times and New York Times best-selling author.

Looking to the future, Lynda hopes to tempt Helen Mirren, 74, to play Jane Tennison one last time in a final TV drama. In 2008, she was awarded aCBEin the Queen's Birthday Honours List for services to Literature, Drama and Charity.

Charming but aimless, Jack can't seem to find his place in the world - until he's drawn into an investigation that turns his life upside down. These books revolve around private detective Lorraine Page, who used to have everything she could have ever wanted, but soon found herself left out on the street with no one and nothing. In truth, he moved because his girlfriend Maggie wanted to progress with her own career as a doctor.

La Plante was welcomed into the Crime-Thriller-Awards Hall-of-Fame in 2009, and later given an Honorary-Fellowship with the Forensic-Science-Society because of the amount of accuracy that she uses in portraying forensic-science in her work. Novelist Lynda La Plante is in lockdown, holed up in her impressive Surrey home with her 16-year-old son Lorcan, the child she adopted when she was 59 and who, she proudly declares, is the best thing ever to happen to her – even if she has been mistaken for his granny. I loved Lynda LaPlante's Jane Tennyson and Anna Travis series, but the first book in this series was a huge disappointment. Just as Jack finally discovers details of his birth parents from his dying adoptive father, his enquiries into the arson fire lead him deep into a murky criminal underworld… a world he finds himself surprisingly good at navigating.

I am preparing a new list to send to her, but if you have any idea where they may be available in China, would be great.

Adopted at birth, Jack discovers his birth father may have been none other than Harry Rawlins, a renowned criminal. This has a gritty and twisty plot which is so engrossing, but for me the real marvel is the characters. DC Jack Warr is clearly destined for higher things, and I look forward to following his progress' - PETER ROBINSON, No. Although I didn't particularly warm to the main character I intend to read the other books in this series. For those investigating the fire, however, it was not so much the body that caught their attention, but rather, the remains of something in the fireplace.

She released Buried, the first in a new crime series, on April 2, and Blunt Force, which continues the back-story of Jane Tennison, the detective from her TV hit Prime Suspect, is out on August 20. PRAISE FOR BURIED: 'It's quite a challenge to make a detective constable the lead character in a crime novel, but Lynda La Plante does a cracking job of it in BURIED. Could you please endeavour to put all her books on audio…I have just finished the govener book 1, and I can’t find book 2. Her original script for the much-acclaimed Prime Suspect won awards from BAFTA, Emmy, British Broadcasting and Royal Television Society as well as the 1993 Edgar Allan Poe Award.
