I am forever looking for a scent which comes even close to discontinued amarige mariage for me, which is my absolute favourite. This reminds me of a different time altogether, not even the 90s but perhaps the 1890s; a well-to-do woman would wear this. But overall Casmir is and smells like a classic, and is worth testing if you're into softer orientals heavy on vanilla and sandalwood, and you don't already own Hanae Mori. In my defense, the binge was brought on by a fit of frustration I had a few weeks ago … frustration with the poor quality and shameful lack of potency of the newer fragrances (newer meaning, these last 20 years). If you're like me, get it and enjoy🎉❤️ oh yeah it also smells realy good btw haha like abricot pie with a lot of yummie crust.

I tend to struggle with peach forward scents which lean too powdery, for instance, I could never ever wear Tresor in my life, but possibly be able to pull Casmir off. And the combination of indolic white florals and a bunch of fruity notes is a really, really bad idea.I don't get a lot of the fruits and flowers but I am sure they add much to the complexity of Casmir. An 'oriental' and slightly gourmand fragrance which is comforting, nourishing and sensual all at once. Received a dinky 30ml bottle of Casmir yesterday in the post, the bottle is absolutely gorgeous on my dressing table. Not that that's always a bad thing but with Casmir I get this "oversprayer's signature scent since 1992" vibe.

It's drying out softer so I'll be keeping it, using it either at night or winter, just at certain times though. Or perhaps I'm confusing it with the coconut note, but this is the smell that I enjoy the most when I sniff on my wrist.

I caught florals and green notes and the older style of vanilla on which other reviewers have commented.

Surprised how low quality the glass from which bottle made, it seems to have 0 crystal content and no better than jelly jar quality.Michel Almairac is a favorite of mine, so I trust that it must have been stunning when first released. I have to admit that I don't gravitate towards fragrances the prominently feature vanilla, so my nose may not be accustomed to smelling it without associating it with ultra sweetness. Not really intense, not that longevity I have gotten used to, but this is the very worst I could tell about Casmir. It's undeniable the two are very similar, but Casmir is perhaps a richer and more complex scent than Miranda.
