Frances, Aled and Daniel go back on the train while Carys stays with Raine to talk about University alternatives. I also think the explanation for the main dilemma throughout the story ended up being too simplistic for the sake of plot and conflict, so it didn’t quite pay off the climax that the book was amping up. She doesn't get in, and she feels like all the work she's put in to get to this point has been for nothing and that her entire life has been a waste. The podcast, Frances worry about school, the pressure on the kids regarding school, the teenagers hanging out, the little mystery element over who is February Friday, and what happened to Carys.

Over the summer when Frances has just left year 12 and Aled year 13, they become close friends and bond with their similar tastes in clothes, TV shows, films and enthusiasm for Universe City.Thank goodness Frances, Aled, Daniel and Raine all survived and lived to fulfil their OWN expectations, without pressure from their parents and peers.

The ace spectrum is something I find so rarely in books so I was very excited and happy when we got demi rep in here. I honestly just want to SCREAM about this book and these characters forever and let that be my career! I'm sure other people who see themselves in this book would love it a whole lot more than I did, but even though it was an easy read that I flew through, I just wasn't wowed.

Secondly, I hadn’t really spoken to any of my school friends apart from Raine very recently, and I think if we were in The Sims, our friendship bar would almost be back to nothing. He didn’t want to go to university and he was drowning in despair, which got more and more apparent with every episode he made.

Frances and Aled were more than just main characters, they were people I was rooting for and wanted to be friends with. I mean I was never as good at school as her but I kind of admire her for getting good grades while following her obsession with “Radio Silence”. But when Frances meets Aled, the shy genius behind her favourite podcast, she discovers a new freedom. XD Also the distinction between “School Frances” and “Normal Frances “ was amazing and very relatable. Daniel might have appeared to be a study machine but deep down he was a really nice guy and it was pretty obvious that he cared about Aled.

Frances is on the path to Cambridge, even though she's not quite sure why she's so determined to get there. I'm glad she made the character more diverse, but I also didn't feel that anything was done with it. Society’s expectations, your parent’s expectations, your academic leader’s expectations, all of this can feel like the weight of the world on your shoulders. I’m so glad Aled and her reconciled and I was glad Frances and Carys got a chance to talk about the night she vanished. Frances manages to convince him to come and stay at her house for Christmas, but when he arrives he goes over the road to talk to his mum and discovers that she has had Brian, Aled's Labrador, put down.
