At some point I thought it was Louise's old friend Esther writing about her over-protective husband, but again, this line doesn't seem to go anywhere. She's been hovering at the edge of my consciousness for all of my adult life, although I've been good at keeping her out, just as a blurred shadow in the corner of my eye, almost but not quite out of sight.More or less amicably divorced and raising a young son, her thriving interior design business is not enough to vanquish the unresolved feelings of guilt from those school days of yore. Teenage girls can be so vicious, yet they suffer too in their own lack of esteem and self importance. Although, this story didn’t grab some of us at first because of the mean girl stuff going on within the storyline we did appreciate the different perspectives from being a mean girl and someone who is targeted by a mean girl. Out of the blue one-day, Louise receives a notification on Facebook that Maria Weston wants to be friends.

Looking at it from that prospective, it feels a little unnerving, knowing that sometimes people are lurking around your page and can access a wealth of information about you, quite easily.Louise is a smart person, computer literate and she goes through all the expected steps to find out who sent the request.
