As with most rivals, the bass is tuned by a reflex port. On the new Debut this has moved to the front panel to make the speakers less sensitive to their proximity to the rear wall, which makes placement easier. Narrow dispersion. This is a small room speaker as I could hear significantly less sound going off axis - Audible to the point of not needing to take measurements. Certainly not room filling sound.

Base surface area of a loudspeaker may become a determining factor when the space in your room or desk is limited. There are no subwoofers dedicated to the Uni-Fi Reference range, so we didn't request any Elac subs for this review. The company's best subwoofer, the SUB3070, is still in its lineup, but that was originally designed for the now-discontinued Adante series. (I reviewed that model as part of an Adante system in 2020.) Rather than plow the same ground, I used a pair of SVS PB-3000 subwoofers that were already on hand as needed (and in my large, open concept floor space, they often were).

Difference Between Klipsch And Elac: Klipsch Vs Elac Klipsch Features–Features, Design, and Performance DFR52 comes with magnetic grilles. The purpose of the grille is to protect the delicate driver elements from external impacts while still allowing the sound to pass as clearly as possible. Since the included grille of the DFR52 is magnetic type, it is very easy to put it on and off. The answer is that Klipsch speakers are very good. They cost a little more than other speakers, but for their quality, you’re getting a good deal. Because of both price and quality, their speakers are in the middle when it comes to these two things. Is ELAC a good company? In the beginning, I thought the Klipsch RP 600M was very good at making music sound “alive.” These speakers made me think that the music was being played live, even though they never reached that point for me. They sound very dynamic. Because my listening room was small, I had to play around with location to find a perfect spot for the bass, and it was about 2 feet from front wall. Still, there were some songs where the bass was too muddy and boomy, like “dire straits” and “private investigations.” For these, the room placement is very important. The real surprise here was just how well the Reference fared against the five times more costly Graham LS6. The ELAC is no giant slayer but nor was its tonally-similar profile shamed by the Brit. The LS6 does everything that bit better but if ever I downsize (again!), I know where to look.
