Period panties can be great for anyone with a super heavy flow, those who need extra protection overnight, or anyone with a light flow tired of wasting liners. Let’s talk about blood clots. What happens to blood clots when you’re wearing a reusable pad? Gusher pads are good at capturing them, but nothing special is going to happen with any other pad. You’ll have to dispose of them in the toilet or wipe them off with toilet paper. Some of the most popular period panty brands you may have heard of include Thinx, Modibodi, Dear Kates, and Period Panteez. Notes on interlabial pads: They cannot be used while swimming. They must be removed to urinate, being careful not to forget about them and drop them in the toilet. Some people have issues with them drying out the skin if flow is very light and/or they are not changed often enough, moistening them with water can help. If you don’t mind a bit of staining, just throw them in the wash with your regular laundry. They are made of 100% cotton, so will feel softer the more you wash them.

Sewing a pattern on the pad can help keep the layers in place through washing and use. It can also help to keep the layers from billowing if you are doing one of the rolls. The post DAME introduces ‘mini miracle’ interlabial pads appeared first on NP NEWS | The online home of Natural Products magazine. She went on, "Some people have really gushy periods and their sanitary pad doesn't have enough time to absorb all of that blood, so it can leak onto the wings." Here's where the interlabial pad comes in... Most of the pads in my shop are super absorbent, all the way from the extra small to the 18-inch. All of our pads have the same three layers. We do not have pads with more than three layers because it’s not needed. Yes, Reusable Tampons are a thing and yes, people use them! I will say in advance that this isn’t a product I’ve tried but every person should choose what’s best for them. The most pratical style of reusable tampon looks like a rectangle of fabric that is rolled up then inserted vaginally like any other tampon. It’s best for cleanliness that the tampon not have all the layers stitched together. This is like a mixture between your regular pads and tampons with the difference that you don’t have to insert them into your vaginal tract nor you wear externally. What I liked about these is that they seem to be the best option if, like me, you have a heavy flow since the idea is that it soaks the fluid and directs the leaking to the middle of the pad. Yes, I know what you might be thinking and that’s actually something I wasn’t that convinced about. So, this isn’t a replacement of regular pads, but it can help us feel way much more comfortable since it doesn’t go all over the pad and thus it won’t make you feel wet and uncomfortable. They are made from the same materials as other sanitary pad options. They are very thin as they are not designed to be the main absorption of your menstrual flow. How to use them

If you’re considering using an Interlabial Pad, you might also be thinking about reusable cloth pantyliners. Which one is right for you? Do we recommend one over the other? We have three different kinds: overnight, cotton, and supers. The overnight and supers are both made with Zobra and the cotton is made with cotton velour. Zorb can soak up ten times its own weight under two seconds and is specifically designed for diapers and reusable pads. It can also absorb up to 20 times faster than bamboo and hemp. Two layers of Zorb can replace up to eight layers of flannel, six layers of french terry, and five layers of fleece. SILVADUR The fabrics that we use on the inside can hold up to the maximum capacity of what is needed. They can also hold the minimum amount so there’s no reason to continue adding layers and make it feel like you’re wearing a diaper. Our pads are trim, comfortable, and can hold the maximum absorbency, all with just one layer! Reusable Cloth Pads for Heavy Menstural Flow From My Shop Interlabial Reusable Cloth Pads

Created to solve the product of a leaking pad, an interlabial pad is a small piece of fabric that is inserted into the labia to control the flow of a period and prevent sudden gushes. The biggest problem to date, says the brand, is how difficult these pads are to come by: ‘Interlabial pads aren’t exactly a fixture in the period aisle’. One last very important thing: wear your reusable pads with period panties. When I know I’m going to be sleeping and I don’t want to get up in the middle of the night, I wear period panties to make myself feel a little bit more secure. As far as how they compare to Interlabial Pads, we personally prefer period panties. They perform a similar function (extra protection), but are far more secure. Plus you don’t have to deal with them when going to the bathroom because you just pull them down like you would regular underwear. I didn’t use the pad until the last two days of my period, when I was still bleeding, although not as much as I did during the first days. I probably could have used it in conjunction with a regular pad at the beginning, but you need to take out the pad before you go to the bathroom, and since my stomach behaves unpredictably during the first part of my period, I decided I’d just forgo the challenge of remembering that I needed to take something out.
