Similar to DeLonghi, Breville’s Bambino has a premium look with brushed stainless steel. With a simple, user-friendly interface, portafilter, and milk wand, this is another nice-looking compact machine.One difference is the portafilter size. Breville uses a 54mm portafilter diameter, while DeLonghi uses a 51mm portafilter. I prefer the wider portafilter, as it means there’s a wider surface area for water to move through.

Breville has the “Creatista” range of capsule espresso machines. These machines have Breville’s excellent milk frothing capabilities and a cool chrome design.

Having brushed stainless steel and the “classic” espresso machine look is the hallmark of the Breville range. The collection of LED screens makes the Oracle look less like a high-level espresso machine. You either want this style of machine or not in our opinion. But it’s absolutely not “ugly.” The Barista series stands out with its built-in, conical burr grinders. You’ll have freshly ground beans for your espresso. Other features include customizable grind settings, precise dose control, and manual milk frothing capabilities. Overall, these machines offer a high level of control over your coffee-making process. Both DeLonghi and Sage have their own pros and cons about them, but which you choose may depend on the following factors:

The Barista Express has a similar system to the DeLonghi for dosing, with a dial to adjust how much you get into the basket. It’s slightly easier to useand more of the settings are actually useful. To get your ideal dose, we agree with Breville’s recommendation to start with the dial in the middle, then adjust accordingly. Thanks to the 22g portafilter, dual boiler, PID temperature control system, and top-level steam wand, you can really get some exceptional espresso from the Oracle. Bought one for my daughters room as it is always cold and to try and stop the condensation on her bedroom window (even though she has radiator) And it works a treat, on a low setting it keeps the room toastie and has really helped with the condensation on the window… So bought one for my room.
