The Transparency/ Ambient mode lets in some more chatter and traffic around you on moments you need it, but this only works - a tiny bit - when you're not listening to music.

It leaves in even more surrounding noises, failing to bring rest to your head - something the TWS330NB does a little better. The TWSNB2 does have a fuller, warmer sound, with more mid-bass impact and smoother vocals that stay away from the occasional harshness and thinness on the cheaper sibling. Like previous Edifiers, the TWS330 NB has a brightish sound, as it puts more weight into the treble region than many other affordable earbuds do.

In articulated, easy-going songs like Angels from The XX, the sub-bass isn't afraid to show a stab you can feel, but those instances are rare. For a single charge the battery life is 5 hours for earbuds only, and a total of 20 hours for both the charging case and the earbuds. Unfortunately, while the battery life is doable for most everyday activities, its score is below average.

However, when you download the Edifier connect app you can customize the settings to allow for volume control for example but you will have to sacrifice one of the other controls like game mode. Apart from that, the ANC performance is good considering the cost and the Edifier Control app is useful to make some changes but I would have liked to have been able to adjust the EQ add that and it will help make these buds stand out even more. The TWS330NB controls by touching the middle part of the stems, which can be hard to locate blindly. Moving on to the controls they are run by touch controls you need to tap the middle part of the stem which can be a little tricky it will take a few attempts to master for sure.They offer a good level of balance allowing rich lows without them feeling muddy compared to the mids or highs.

Vocal outbursts, cymbals, or claps can sound sharp - up to the point you want to reduce the volume because of them.The Edifier connect app (free for Android and iPhone, requires GPS location and background running on Android) adds some extra functions to the Edifier TWS330NB, which are worth looking into at least once. Moving to the mids they are also nice and rich and they aid the vocals and instruments to be clear without being overwhelmed by the bass.
