We also miss The Humans with the white hair who stayed with us for a while. It was lovely having them here and they gave us double the amount of treats we normally have. I enjoyed reading the Meg and Mog stories as a child and had several in the book box in my first classroom. We recently inherited some of the books and now my daughter is enjoying them, she loves Meg’s spells as they never work quite as they should! Make a Meg shapes craft– Children make their very own Meg picture using the shapes. Follow the activity suggestions for ideas on setting up the activity and maximising practise of either receptive or productive skills. Helen Nicoll and Jan Pienkowski have worked together for over forty years, first at the BBC and then on the MEG and MOG books. Jan Pienkowski is a celebrated author of children's books, he has won the Greenaway Medal twice for his illustration of Joan Aiken's The Kingdom Under the Sea and Haunted House.

Mog and Owl are hungry, so Meg makes a spell. It goes wrong and they all go to bed without any supper, but Mog and Owl are still hungry... Vocabulary: Meg, Mog, Owl. Egg(s) dinosaur(s) Stegosaurus, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Diplodocus. "I'm hungry!" "Who are you?" "It's too big!" "I'm going to eat you! (optional)" Coloring sheets– Choose between 6 different worksheets and follow the activity suggestions to make this activity as interactive and language rich as you like.Flash Cards – Use in a variety of ways to introduce and practice new language, develop literacy skills or as visual prompts for language games. The humans have tried to keep us occupied, we have new logs, corn on strings and some CD's we can play. My favourite is one with S Club 7 written on, it makes a great sound when I place my beak on it and spin it round. The other girls have made up a dance to it and this passes the time. We have also noticed the big dog has one of her legs in a plaster cast, apparently she got injured and has had to have a piece of metal put into her leg. Doesn't seem to have had an effect on her barking though. Topic: Easter! Meg, Mog and Owl, who my kids will remember from their Halloween lesson, are hungry, but Meg's spell to rustle up some eggs goes a little wrong... Meg Goes to Bed is the latest of the iconic MEG and MOG picture books that continue to delight children up to the age of 3 with the brightly coloured and spellbinding antics of Meg the witch, Mog her cat and Owl.

Reading Meg’s Eggs has led to discussions about eggs hatching and discovering which animals and birds come out of eggs. It also stimulated a discussion about dinosaurs, what they eat, what their teeth look like and the difference between herbivores and carnivores. urn:lcp:megseggs0000nico_x7p0:epub:42e6230c-dfbf-4703-8f7b-f366e1658723 Foldoutcount 0 Identifier megseggs0000nico_x7p0 Identifier-ark ark:/13960/t79t1v752 Invoice 1652 Isbn 9780141338873 We are still in our penthouse run, I saw on the local news there are still some danger areas and we are right next to one. Because of this The Humans have decided to keep us inside for a little longer. It's not too bad, although I must confess I will be pleased when we can get out and I can hide my eggs again. Well summer has definiately disappeared and there is a chill in the air in The Garden. Thankfully we are all able to snuggle together and keep warm in our Coops. Activities are specifically designed to allow for differentiation of ability and context and come complete with COMPREHENSIVE ACTIVITY SUGGESTIONS.

She is still very shy and generally keeps herself to herself. She is slightly older than the adolescent girls and came from one of those places where they keep you in a cage all day, I am so pleased I have always been in The Garden. Talk about the significance of eggs at Easter (new life) and the Easter Bunny. You will need to use some L1 here, but I think it's totally worth it, since the Easter Bunny and Easter egg hunts don't exist in Italy. Color by number / shape– Use these worksheets to practise number recognition, shapes, numerals and/or literacy skills. Four versions are included to allow you to differentiate between abilities easily.
