The first main advantage of the Deus 2’s FMF technology is the ability to detect through salt water at depth! The first Deus' single frequency tech wasn't well suited to salt water detection but with FMF we can already see in some initial testing videos that the Deus II has excellent salt water performance. One of the advantages Minelab has over XP is the numerous search coil options available for the Equinox. Originally, Minelab released 2 additional search coils for the Equinox. The 6″ and the 15″ DD coils (mentioned above). Both coils are still available and being offered by Minelab through various vendors. To help shorten this learning curve I also recommend building your own test bed that you can use over and over. Bury junk targets, relics, and coins. Try to go out there for 20 mins every day for 2 weeks and just listen so your brain and hearing register those targets.
