Flooded draws the readers’ attention to the increasing problems of climate change without being explicit. It’d be lovely to hear of any little Easter Eggs (surprises) that readers can find in the picturebook? This is an exceptionally illustrated story that teaches a message not to let problems fester and with a little team work and community spirit, no problem is insurmountable. It was such a pleasure to meet you both, and I really appreciated how smoothly and professionally you ran everything.

I have bought copies of the book to share with friends who are teachers as this is the kind of book my primary classes would have loved me to read to them. If you like to analyse stories and ask questions and think about why the author or illustrator made certain choices, there's lots here to discuss. Working with a limited colour palette and negative space is one of the elements that make Flooded such a success. After many years working as an illustrator / designer, her passion for picture books led her to study a MA in Children's Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art and graduated in 2021.

This really influenced my practice, the way I draw, visual language and improved my skills, as I truly believe the more you practise the better you get (it’s all about muscle memory! Part of your journey into illustration and design led you to complete an MA in Children's Book Illustration at Anglia Ruskin. So the story is a pretty simple one - "One morning the city woke up to find everything was a little WET. All the animals ignore the obvious and go about their busy lives, disjointed from one another and preoccupied by their own problems.
