The following chart presents a comparison between the parameters of the GPO, presented here, and the parameters of its rivals. As you can notice the field of view of the GPO is wider only than that of the Meopta, losing significantly to the Zeiss and the Nikon. The eye relief distance, amounting to 17 mm, remains quite typical for this class of equipment and similarly you should assess the minimum focusing distance. What’s interesting, the GPO is the biggest instrument in this group and it weighs a lot; only the Meopta is heavier. Technically, the new product doesn’t have any distinct selling points. The same can be said of the contrast, which shows a good variation between dark and light areas, but is not too harsh. binocular. Of those, there are 5 configurations available: 8x42, 10x42, 8.5x50, 10x50 and 12.5x50. All models are standard roof prism type designs.

a wide field of view. Indeed at 336ft@1000yds, it exactly matches that of both the Leica 10x42 Ultravid HD and the Swarovski 10x42 EL. Although with a FOV of 330ft@1000yds, all three fall a fraction short of the Zeiss 10x42 Victory FL. As already mentioned, the fit and feel of these instruments is well above that indicated by their price.the visual field when you are sharp in the middle. Again, this isn’t a drastic issue - people naturally tend to look through the center of an optic and One of the joys of reviewing relatively high-end products like the GPO Passion HDs is that the quality of view is fantastic overall. The image is

During last 2-3 years we’ve seen many new companies which offer top-of-the-range binoculars and spotting scopes making their debut on the market. Not so long ago we informed about a launch of Blaser binoculars, produced by German Sport Optics. Their prices are comparable to those of the most expensive Leica, Swarovski or Zeiss models. Binoculars priced at 1000 Euro level are also being offered by such companies as Maven Optics or Tract Optics (so far they have been available mainly on the American market); what’s interesting they have managed to earn very positive opinions. German Precision Optics is the next player which joined that club. It has been set up by former employees of German optics industry and, at the beginning of the second quarter of 2017, they managed to launch two series of binoculars. This tells us that the Opticron is significantly lighter than the rest which average 523g making the Opticron 14% lighter, and although there is not much to choose between these when comparing lengths, the Opticron is almost the shortest. However the shortest is the GPO and it is competitive with the Zeiss and Hawke on weight but is well-beaten by the Opticron. In both good light and very low light conditions just after sunset, I really could not discern any difference in image brightness between these GPO Passion HD 10x42 binoculars and that of my alpha 10x42's.When it comes to image quality we have several remarks. Firstly, the comfortable field of view is limited by a diaphragm clearly standing-out and it remains sharp till the very edge. The distortion correction is also very good, with straight lines being kept in shape even on the edge of the frame. Still you can notice some geometry disturbance – the observed object becomes flattened when you shift them toward the rim. There is no obvious unnatural tinting of the view and the colors look vibrant, but not so much so as to make the view look artificial. The astigmatism of the GPO is quite limited because the images of stars near the field of view centre are close to point-like. Still the GPO is slightly worse in this category than Swarovision and Ultravid. On the other hand, the Passion HD corrects coma better than the Leica but worse than the Swarovski. We didn’t notice almost any problems with the brightness loss on the very edge of the field. edges were a bit soft. This occurs when the edges of the field aren’t in the same focal plane as the center, and the net effect is a blur at the edge of distance range of 57-75 mm, which is broad enough to work with most people’s faces. They weigh 29.7 ounces and the rainguard, if used, adds another 0.9 ounces.

In this case, the GPO Passion HD binoculars have two ED lens elements (two fluorite containing lenses which are "cemented" together) within each lens. Softer rubbers can often move or slide about on the chassis if not glued on correctly, but there is absolutely no chance of that occurring here.

Passion HD 10x42s are a bit over 6.5 inches long with the eyecups fully extended and 6 inches wide with the hinge completely open. They have an interpupilaryThis helps maintain a better view in all conditions when out in the field, they stay cleaner for longer and are easier to clean when you eventually have to. This means you apply less force whilst cleaning, which in turn reduces the likelihood of you marking or scratching the lens. Coating Comparisons It is also good to confirm that the prisms have multi dielectric mirror coatings added to them, this ensures that more than 99% of the light gets transmitted. For most people, passion fruit is perfectly safe to eat. However, some people with a latex allergy may react to passion fruit. This is called cross-reactivity. This is because there are some proteins in latex that are similar to those in passion fruit. People with a latex allergy should be careful when eating passion fruit until they know whether they also react to the fruit. Does passion fruit make you sleepy? Whilst I did not test this, in their specifications, they claim that this bin will remain watertight to a pressure of 500 Mbars, which should easily be enough to cover most normal uses in wet weather conditions.
