LVNs and LPNs are interchangeable titles depending on where you work in the US. California and Texas use the title LVN, and the rest of the US uses LPN. Simulations are also a very good way for the student to gain experience. However, these need to be carefully managed to ensure the simulation is as realistic as possible, and that it does not turn into a question and answer session. Guidance on reflective comments

I have been in the veterinary industry for 23 years and qualified for almost 20 years. Whilst I have had many leadership roles from deputy head nurse, head nurse and practice manager, I have never really felt as rewarded in a role as I have done in the past six months. I will always enjoy working with clients and their beloved pets but I think being in the industry for so long and witnessing so many changes and challenges that have had such an impact on colleagues past and present, I decided to steer my career path more towards empowering nurses and making sure they continue to remember why they wanted to be a nurse in the first place. I have always been passionate about mental health and well-being in practice; this has inspired me to pursue my dream of becoming a life coach and I will be starting my diploma very soon… Watch this space!

To include ASA guidelines, behaviour and temperament, clinical assessment, and discussion with an appropriate member of the veterinary team. In making the decision regarding student competence, the clinical coach will then liaise with the relevant witness(es) and reach a decision regarding overall task competence which should then be recorded in their decision of competence. Do witnesses need to write up formal witness statements? I now feel confident to position cats, and dogs for lateral chest and abdominal x-rays. I now need to focus on limb and spine x-rays as I struggle more with these. There are several types of master's degrees in nursing. Advanced practice registered nurse degrees prepare a registered nurse for an advanced clinical role. Other types of MSN degrees focus on preparing nurses for non-clinical roles such as public health or nursing informatics. The minimum academic entry requirement for this programme is 80 UCAS tariff or equivalent providing this is combined with relevant experience.AS levels, BTEC Subsidiary Diploma and Scottish Intermediate 2s may be used to contribute to entry requirements but they are not sufficient for entry on their own. Alternative equivalent qualifications will also be considered positively. Discuss home care plans with clients, to include advising clients on safe and correct routes of administration and potential side effects; Demonstrate to clients safe techniques for administering medication; Advise clients on the storage and disposal of medication; Wound care advice; Bandage advice; advise clients on out of hours services.
