Whilst these goalkeeper controls and techniques will require some practice, they can be very effective in-game and can help to take your overall game to the next level. I played on the PlayStation 5, and the low hum of the DualSense’s haptics is a nice touch that pulls me deeper into the action with the thud of a good through ball or the crunch of a nasty tackle coming through to my palms. I'm phasing out after MD until a Pro arrives unless a good trilogy and MP4 arrives and will be good! As a reminder, here’s what was written there for last year’s game: “FIFA 22 Legacy Edition will feature the same gameplay innovation from FIFA 21 without any new development or significant enhancements. We’ve built a new bug reporting feature from scratch, allowing Nexus Mods members to raise bugs on Collections for the Curator’s attention.BenAV I wouldn't care if they did that either, but they still have some actual good games once in a blue moon. We have had the extreme pleasure recently of talking to the team behind Skyrim: Extended Cut about the first release of their project.

Progress had been minimal at best, and while we understood that it wasn’t really practical to replicate Xbox One and PS4 gameplay on the Switch, we pleaded with EA to step things up a gear and work quicker towards at least giving Switch players something that should have been possible: full feature parity with other systems. Players have the option to preview Silver and Gold player packs as in the previous game, by allowing players to preview what they would receive from a pack before deciding whether to purchase it. Now, I'm not suggesting that the Picross games should be penalised, only that the scorn directed to FIFA is disproportionate given that its changes are arguably more substantial than many other games that are otherwise praised for offering more of the same. Things went a bit ‘stealth mode’ after that, so now it’s time to give more of an update on how the team has developed and how we see the next generation of mod management. It can get hectic as the opposition closes in on goal, and this is where player switching becomes a bit too frantic as you try to fill all the gaps in your armour and survive an onslaught of Tiki-taka.

Outside of the bread and butter gameplay, several revisions have been made to FIFA’s major modes this year. Microtransactions still loom large, but small iterative changes and the horsepower of new-gen consoles combine to make FIFA 22 feel like a worthwhile upgrade without needing anything revolutionary or terribly exciting from EA’s side. After all, the system it replaces wasn’t on the Switch either, so why bother suddenly pretending it’s worth fixing a mechanic that’s numerous iterations out of date? If it had to be handheld, I could get my GBC game Zidane I once found, Inazuma Eleven on 3ds, or whatever, it's all pretty much the same if you just want to kick a ball across a field in a team effort. Once again, EA has insulted Switch owners by giving them the version it usually releases on dead systems.
