Description

I guess the question that we all have as Forest fans is: How do you make a documentary about any/all of the Miracle Men without going over the same ground time and again? A must-see film for football fans, Local Heroes provides a captivating and moving glimpse into the lives of these determined individuals and sheds light on an inspiring, rarely heard story from the history of the beautiful game. Viv Anderson, (the first black footballer to play for England), former carpet fitter, Gary Birtles, and Tony Woodcock. It includes interviews with former Reds players, stunning images from our picture archives, columnists, and plenty more. Oli is the Founder of The Sporting Blog, and enjoys writing about tennis, football, boxing and sports experiences.

A new film telling the inspirational story of three Nottingham Forest legends has its world premiere later this month. This rousing documentary offers a window into British modern history through the eyes and stories of these unlikely heroes. It follows their upbringing in the Nottingham area from working-class families to becoming professional players. What comes across in the documentary is that all three of these guys have each others backs in times of great need. The feature-length documentary relives the tale of European Cup winners and local heroes Viv Anderson, Garry Birtles and Tony Woodcock and how they rose to the top.No spoilers from me but from the beautifully filmed, not sentimenal and spot on direction of John Warrington to the engaging narration Gary Webster , this is simply a brilliant film.

Nottingham Forest were promoted to the English First Division in the 1976-77 season, and remarkably went on to win the Championship and the League Cup the following year. Fasinating story of our three heroes, but an intriguing insight into the world of football with its highs and lows.At the moment, we don’t have a trailer, but you can gleam a little more at the listing page for the disc release. The first collaboration of director Antonie Fuqua and star Denzel Washington, Training Day, is heading back to UK cinemas in August. John Warrington, Founder and CEO of Krafty Entertainment, expressed his excitement over the partnership with Trinity, while Andy Taylor, Commercial Director for Trinity, spoke highly of Krafty Entertainment's world-class team of production talent.
