Thank you for your first report (I hope that there will be more in the future) and all of the images -- which will now take a while to examine. The Huawei B818-263 router is a high-speed wireless router that provides fast and reliable internet connectivity. Putting a device into Airplane mode or just disconnecting/reconnecting will bring it back temporarily. While a different than router may see incremental changes in throughput I doubt it'd be worth the outlay. Working fine working at home, kids doing their school work, streaming Disney plus and prime 4K movies etc.

for band 3 to give 30+mbps is pretty good going, but not unexpected in a rural setting where mast loads are low. The operation and configuration was very easy in the test and if necessary, any other SIM card can be used in addition to the Vodafone SIM card. Im happy to paypal some cash across to cover any issues but I imagine these things don't break the bank.

So after the B818 running like a dream for a few weeks (100+Mbps when the cell is quiet), I've had a few issues recently and not sure what to blame, so bear with me - this will be a long one as theres a bit of background! I've also tried connecting up with the LTE-H-Mon software, and tried to get that channel aggregation working on the bands 1 + 3 but that only sometimes reports 4G+ for a brief second on the dashboard screen then goes off again back to 4G. The 'working' setup consisted of the B818 hooked up via ethernet to an old Vodafone router acting as a AP (DHCP disabled, static IP, etc). s, but obviously this kind of download speed is going to depend upon your choice of 4G mobile network, distance to 4G basestation, 4G network congestion and 4G throttling by the networks (of course UK 4G mobile providers don’t throttle their mobile broadband service we are told!

Not quite sure the spec on that mast - fortunately it's about 7 miles with direct line of sight via the external antenna. Contributing data yourself is obviously the best way to add to the pool (android phone required) and potentially find new bands. Wifi is strong but the connection is binary - either 100% full speed, or it will crap out and refuse to load something. I have a B818-263 in bridge mode connected to an ER-12 router and what you're coming up against is CGNAT. In particular, the new LTE wireless router was convincing, this offers above-average speeds and is extremely future-proof.You mentioned in a post higher up the chain: "There *is* such a field - but it needs to be unhidden using the browser developer tools. Even the Huawei B818 can provide high LTE and WLAN speeds for daily use, but probably only for the fewest users. Disconnected the Voda router and hooked up the U6 yesterday initially to the 'backhaul' ethernet going directly to the B818 (taking the rest of the devices offline from the internet), and all appeared well.

Dont like the sound of it moving over to 3G, i think the family would go mad about the loss of bandwidth. Without large LTE antennas (or any other LTE antennas plugged into their sockets) - does not detect LTE networks at all. The maximum speed was tested by using 3 × 3 MIMO antenna technology at 1300 MBit/s, which is also the highest data rate supported by the WLAN module. Incidentally, to answer the original question, I have been testing the Huawei B618 against the Huawei B818 and the Mikrotik SXT LTE6 kit and the B818 comes out top for better signal capture and better download and upload speeds. It also supports multiple users and devices simultaneously, making it ideal for households with heavy internet usage.I'm with EE so there's no way around it, although 3 does let you get a public IP by using a different APN - which mobile provider are you with? Going to get the 600mm zoom lens on my camera tomorrow when the sun is out, as I am pretty sure the cell array is on the roof of a block of flats that I can see from my rear window, and according to the stats on the router that is the one I am connecting to atm. One of these LAN ports can also be used as a WAN connection, so that one does not necessarily have to rely on the wireless modem integrated in the router.
