Learn how to face paint Iron Man with these easy to follow step-by-step tutorials! Iron Man is one of the most beloved Avengers, and kids line up to get this design! #1. How to Face Paint Iron Man - Full Face Mask Step-by-Step Instructions: Using a small round brush, like a #2 or #3, outline the sections of Nebula's face, staying up on the point of the brush. Use a blending brush or small filbert to create shadowed edges to sections of the face. We all have some fun superhero-y designs in our repertoire, but in case you get a request for Nebula (played by Karen Gillan), this tutorial will help you navigate the basics. You can simplify it quite a bit by using one strokes to make it a potential design for your events.

First, starting with the white face paint and a medium round brush, draw an outline of the Iron man design on the face. Paint a line going across the eyebrows, then paint two squares around the eyes, connected to that line. Paint a square shape in the middle of the forehead. Paint lines going from the corners of the mouth, and up over the cheek bones. Add the outline under the chin and connect to the rest of the design. Now you’ll want to add light blue over the eyes, using the blue face paint and the 1″ flat brush. Be very careful not to get any paint in the eyes! Now you want to fill in the inner part of the design with yellow, using the yellow face paint and the high density sponge. My daughter suggested I try some bubbleheads this week. I wasn’t sure what she meant when she first suggested this until she explained that she was talking about a character with a perfect circle as a head, made from using a round sponge or pouncer. As it turns out, they were pretty easy to do, so here’s the first in a series of bubblehead characters for you to try out on your own. I like superheroes, so I decided to give Iron Man a go. Step-by-Step Instructions: Load your sponge with Ziva blue shimmer and Sapphire blue shimmer or your favorite medium and royal blue metallic colors. Sponge in the areas as shown. Step 3: With the #5 round brush, place a small white dot in the palm of each hand for the repulsers. Load your #3 round brush (or the tip of the #5 round brush) with red and fill in the Iron Man details. He’s going to look a little more chubby than his normal lean, mean Iron Man self since he’s a perfect circle, but he’ll still be recognizable because of the details. On the hand, leave the piece at the base of the thumb gold for this version. Once the main details are in place, use your #3 or #1 round brush to fill in two rectangular glowing eyes.

Step 2: Using your #5 round brush, create two hand shapes on either side of the bubblehead circle. These will have thumbs on the inside and be facing palm out. Even though you’re going to cover most of the hand with red face paint, it’s easier to establish the shape first with the forgiving gold color rather than the more vibrant red. Next, Using the high density make up sponge (cut in half) and the red face paint, add red to the outer part of the design, and the square shape in the middle of the forehead.
