Cara Flanagan is one of the best-known and most respected authors for A Level Psychology. A practised teacher with examining experience and a well-known conference presenter, Cara is renowned for creating resources that students love to use.

Each topic has a range of supporting activities and resources in PDF and PowerPoint format, for example: It's quite heavy-going, which for a book set in WW2 shouldn't really be a surprise, but it's clear that Buzzy has a respect for her subject choice, because nothing is there just for the sake of it or for entertainment purposes. I know a fiction book at its very heart is a piece of entertainment, so I appreciate that, but there is so much tenderness and respect here that it is just pitch perfect. Lifelines’ are very straightforward, easy-to-digest key descriptive points for the spread topic. Ideal for students struggling to grasp the essential point Wow! I read this book in one day! It was a compelling & gripping novel of courage, love, hatred, values and “staying human” with monsters and destruction around!

Hiding them is not enough. Will you stand aside as the menace of Nazi evil tightens its grip on your homeland? Or do you unleash your fury, joining forces with your enemies' enemies, plotting to strike? I’ve buddy read this with Lucy and we both agreed how much we’ve learnt and how much we admire what Hannie stood for, what she fought for and her resistance work with Truus and Freddie was simply awe inspiring.

The story is told beautifully. We start with a slower pace where we learn about Hannie, her hopes and dreams and see her join the resistance. This part of the story showed the effects the war was taking but the determination Hannie had to keep her friends and family safe was truly admirable. At such a young age she showed so much bravery. The Digital bundle has been an excellent and well researched resource. It provides many activities for students to apply their knowledge, a key skill in Psychology. The range of activities is also key to accommodating the different styles of learner. The online textbook means students can access it anytime, anywhere, so no excuses if they go on holiday! I have also been impressed by the extension material provided to stretch and challenge students who wish to delve further into topics. It has been an amazing resource to assist in the delivery of the new specification. We’re looking forward to using the new A-Level bundle.” So, if you are a fan of Historical Fiction then this is a must read or if you want to understand more about the Dutch Resistance and Hannie in particular, then this is your book as the author does a fine job.

As long as new hair cells continue to grow in the hair bulb, the hair continues to grow longer. This growth phase is also called the anagen phase. At any point in time, about 90 percent of a person’s total amount of hair is in this growth phase. I haven't seen a single review of it yet, and that's a shame. Because this book is a powerful testament to one women's fight against fascism and hate.

One of the most amazing parts of this book is that it is based on a real woman who actually assassinated powerful Nazis and bombed their factories. Her parents are real, her friends are real, her fellow members of the resistance are real, and the men she killed are real. Wow, just wow, this is an incredibly powerful story! I have read quite a bit of really good historical fiction based around the events of the Second World War recently, but this one blew me away!

I have read many war books - WW1 and WW2 - and this is possibly one of the best about the Second World War that I've read. It's hard to put into words why - which as a book review, seems like a problem. But I implore you to read this and hopefully you'll know what I mean. There aren't the words to give this the recognition it deserves, it is simply spellbinding.
