Description

BLON persists with the idea of a soft V-profile, trying to stretch the extension of the treble, although it remains soft, with a point of clipping due to a clear drop before the air region. The mids feel moderately delayed in front of the bass and first treble, which impoverishes the overall tuning result. In my opinion, BLON is still going round in circles about the tuning of its most successful model, but without taking off from it, nor surpassing the value of that time. For the price, the Blons are good, they sound very natural and fun, but it can suffer in busy songs though. IEMs don’t usually get damaged. The cables can get damaged with usage. So it’s easy to replace them if they are conveniently detachable.

Customers have to bear any form of custom/import/processing fees that are applicable for your parcel. The Tanchjim Tanya are a warm harman-like set and are also bullet shaped with a non-detachable cable. Both sets scale better with amping, but the Tanya are easier to drive.

Sound & Specs

Describing the sound quality of the BL-03s is easy, especially when you factor in the modest price: they sound fantastic. Now let’s break that down. Firstly, how these sound to you will certainly depend on how well you’re able to insert them in your own ears. The sweet spot is quite small, but once you hit it you’re rewarded with something really special, especially if you’ve never experienced IEMs before. I compared the Final E3000 with some other budget single DD sets. Hybrids and pure BA IEMs were left out of the comparison as the different transducer types have their own pros and cons. Vs. BLON BL-03 All products sold on Headphone Zone carry a GST compliant invoice and all products sold include an 18% GST. I don’t even know where to start with BLON, but it seems that they are now a company that needs no introduction. So let’s keep this section short and sweet. Do you remember your first time? There’s a first time for everything. And the first time you heard a life-changing piece of music on an outstanding system – it probably established a lifelong memory.

CONCLUDING REMARKSThe BL-MAX did not stand out or impress in a hyper-competitive market and got overshadowed by its own brethren. It’s a complicated situation where BLON is somewhat bogged down by their own success. First ,thanks headphone zone for a super fast delivery and bringing this hidden chifi gems here at almost same price point.Wireless Earbuds are no doubt convenient. But they usually sound pretty ordinary. These IEMs, although wired, are designed and built with the goal of just delivering brilliant sound. You need to replace the Cable and use better eartips to get the best out of the BL03 — a curious fact. Even the replacement unit is faulty. Theres a clear imbalance in the left and right earbuds and the right one is even making creeking sound while putting in ears or tapping it. One of the reasons headphones and earphones in India are more expensive than overseas is because of the Goods & Services Tax in India.

Now I will note one thing: I actually preferred the midrange tone of the BL03 to all of the above. The T4 and OH1/OH10 were a tad too shouty in the upper midrange for me, while the GR07’s treble response left something to be desired. The BL03 balanced upper-end energy without being overly-forward, and the “safeness” of its tuning is therefore its greatest strength. Many people who talk about the BL-03 on-line are measured in their evaluation. I think there is a general understanding among enthusiasts that the BL-03 has excellent tone for a chi-fi IEM, but suffers in technicalities. In particular ‘bass bloat’ is a term that has been thrown around regarding the BL-03, and I think it is entirely justified.

Overall, don't buy this for it's technicality, though it's no slouch but from purely technical standpoint you'll be better served with Tinhifi t2 or t4 or Etys etc. Buy this to get lost in your music ,not analysing how many micro details you can retrieve. It's not the point of this baby. Willing to spend 2k? Stretch your budget and get these instead. Do not import from China, headphonezone will provide local warranty.

There’s not a lot to say about the shells of the BLON BL-03, as the exterior design is very simplistic. The metal shells have a teardrop shape and a polished chrome-coloured surface. On the inner side of the shell, there’s a small vent near the base of the nozzle. It is a fact that the BL-MAX shells are rather… maximized and looks quite menacing in the photos. However, the inner-side is mostly ergonomic and slowly tapers into a more “human-like” shape. Overall, the build quality is as good as one should expect at this price with the scratches being a concern. The treble has good energy and provides detail and airiness. There’s a peak in the lower treble that adds clarity to the overall presentation but avoids any sibilance. After the lower treble peak, the high frequencies taper off steadily. No monetary compensation is/was involved before, during, and after the period of creation of this review.

I know, I know. Yes, the latest hype is for beryllium or LCP (liquid crystal polymer) driver materials. I can see the BL03 being described in different ways. Neutral with bass boost, perhaps mildly V-shaped if one is sensitive to treble, but in my books I’d classify it as simply “warm”.
