I like that she’s not just chanting in your ears to love yourself. Although it is mostly about self-love and the understanding/acceptance of one’s self, she presented it as the state of being at home with yourself/building a home within yourself and I really like that idea. I thought I would be bored and get too skeptical (as I usually do with self-help books) and eventually give up on the book but surprisingly I finished it. Some concepts in the book, though might be fairly familiar to others, were somehow foreign to me and I can say that I was surprised I didn’t think of things in this way my whole life. There were times when I was just reading nonchalantly and some sentences just sent tears to my eyes like… bro… that is so true?? especially the part about the hijaab was kinda disturbing. “unveiling” her self/being free. stuff like that is imo not friendly. i would like to tell najwa that she set herself free of choices she didn’t make for herself. not unveiling herself from the hijaab. after the chapter of the clarity room, i lost interest in this book. https://www.tumblr.com/partycoffin/701504273104666624/would-wally-pet-my-cat-i-think-she-would-like-it

https://www.tumblr.com/partycoffin/708910367502417920/i-got-the-autism-diagnosis-after-five-years-can-i At least that’s how I grew up in a tiny village in Lebanon. Everyone was of the Muslim faith—on paper. The mosque was right across from my house. And I grew up with a heavy religious education. That education drew hard lines between girls and boys, men and women. As a child, this is how I saw relationships: One day your knight in shining armor sees you, somehow, even though you’re hidden. He says he’s in love with you and wants to marry you. And, boom. You live happily ever after. https://www.tumblr.com/partycoffin/633821581509066752/hey-my-sister-introduced-me-to-your-work-and-let More remains to be seen of their interaction. Poppy invited Wally for tea parties and hosted him charitably, Wally helped Poppy during baking and knitting, not minding holding the yarn for her. The two seemed to partake on peaceful, soothing and calm activities together. Over The Sea to Scotland's Skye: Bagpipes Welcome Devoted Highlanders Home to The Moors and Hills of The Hebrides Misty Isle. An original article from the National Geographic Magazine, 1952.JULIE: [interrupting Wally mid-greetings; he keeps going underneath her dialogue] EDDIE! LIFT WALLY INSTEAD! In this AU, Wally is a Ghost-type Gym Leader with a haunted playhouse themed gym whom suddenly appeared after one day wandering out of the Ruins of Alph. He would fight in a long corridor with a round window behind him. [186] [187] He lets younger trainers win if they're pretty close to winning. [188]

Wally also serves as a caretaker for Home, helping it wipe its tears, [11] bringing it gifts, [12] writing for it, [13] [14] and playing games and conducting activities nearby so Home can participate as well and invite other neighbors to visit Home. He often paints with the canvas facing Home so that he may see. [15] [16] He doesn't seem to know the meaning of a lot of words until someone teaches him, for example "mime" [138], "wiggle", "clown" [139], "vibe", or "having a crush" [140].https://www.tumblr.com/partycoffin/701679915043520512/since-we-know-wallys-favorite-what-is-everyone Clown has confirmed that Wally and other Welcome Home characters are autistic, like himself. [164] [165] [166] [167] [168] In her debut book of inspiration, poet Najwa Zebian shares her revolutionary concept of home--the place of safety where you can embrace your vulnerability and discover your self-worth. It's the place where your soul feels like it belongs, where you are loved for who you are. Too many of us build our homes in other people in the hope that they will deem us worthy of being welcomed inside, and then we feel abandoned and empty when those people leave. Building your home inside yourself--and never experiencing inner homelessness again--begins here. anyway, it’s a very good book about coming home to yourself and making peace with what has happened and surrendering control of the future. https://www.tumblr.com/partycoffin/651129614158217216/barnaby-and-wally-eating-soup-is-all-i-can-think

Eddie was a pretty talkative fellow. Since Wally was really quiet, Eddie could often talk freely with Wally when the two were alone, explaining in details his day while Wally listened. https://www.tumblr.com/partycoffin/677367327481839616/do-link-it-if-this-questions-been-asked-before I was really intrigued by the title when I saw this book. And the start of the book did give me something new to dwell on; however, after a few chapters, the book became very repetitive and she was adding in the findings of other books and incorporating her life lessons to make a link somehow which didn't feel very authentic.

NARRATOR: Wally stood up in front of the rest of the neighbors as Julie had and a hush fell over everyone. He held the flashlight but it… It’s upside down. Barnaby could you turn that rightside- Oh, thank you. Wally held the flashlight under his face as he began his terrifying tale. Wally already liked you since the beginning because you are nice just the way you are and there’s no one quite like you. You don’t ask him to change to appeal to your tastes, he wouldn’t want you to change either. [36] He seems to love you platonically, and he tries to show this however he can. [37] He wants you to smile and know that he loves you very much.Even so, he isn't fond of eating or drinking, and just likes to hold the plate, bowl or cup in his hands to feel its warm. Once it got cold, he gave it to whoever is next to him to eat/drink instead, usually Barnaby. [20] [100] So I told him how excited I was to see him. Because he was so busy with work, we had decided to meet in a month’s time. But that voice had told me a few days before this call that if I wanted to see him sooner, I should just let him know. So I did so in a text message. If Clown had to compare Wally with one of the Habiticians from Smile for Me, it would be Dr. Habit. [179] Everyone is screaming at perhaps what is the best Halloween ever. Wally’s soft ‘aah’ can be heard.] https://www.tumblr.com/partycoffin/690445118755553280/i-am-obliged-to-say-i-believe-wally-would-submerge
