It's not that realistic a request, but it would have been nice to have a spare magazine or two for mag changes. My son likes his toys to be realistic. It's quite hard to find realistic toy guns (beyond airsoft) that you'd want to give to kids. This is about as close as you're going to get in a cheap toy gun. My pros and cons below are considered with the above nods to 'realism' in mind. The entire rear upper of the rifle lights up really brightly (the piece that is usually the receiver cover); this is blinding if you're aiming down the sights. The front sight is there but has no front sight post, so you can't realistically aim with the rifle.

Don't let the amount of 'cons' put you off - these are all relatively small things. If you're looking for a cheap toy gun that has realistic features this is a great choice.
