Mustering a Boarding PatrolWhen mustering a Boarding Patrol, if your Faction is ADEPTUS ASTARTES, then the following rules apply when adding units to your Boarding Patrol Detachment, and they take priority over the normal rules for mustering a Boarding Patrol. You can include one Heavy Support unit, but only if it is a HELLBLASTER SQUAD or an ERADICATOR SQUAD unit. If you include a HELLBLASTER SQUAD unit, it can only have a Starting Strength of 5 models – additional models cannot be added to it. A TORCHBEARERS Detachment counts as an ADEPTUS MECHANICUS, ADEPTUS CUSTODES and ADEPTUS ASTARTES Detachment for the purpose of any Detachment abilities your army gains (e.g. Stratagems you can use).

DEATH COMPANY CAPTAIN units can never have an Honorific. If a unit has an Honorific and subsequently gains the DEATH COMPANY keyword, it immediately loses that Honorific. The Blood Angels will spare no effort to attain the material needed to create the Chapter's art and have even fought wars to obtain them. This includes Bloodstone gems, from the deep caves of the Cruor Mountain on Baal and the larvae of the Spinewyrm fauna. Bloodthirsty sand clams are also needed, as the white pigment used to paint the Chapter's angel wings, can only be obtained by crushing clams' shells. [57c] Tactics Personally Terminators should default to being in reserve unless you have some specific cunning plan (or are running an entire army of Terminators!) as by Deep Striking and using the new Stormbolter rules you can lay down some punishing firepower on a juicy target. Adding in a Heavy Weapon is a requirement and naturally this will defer to your meta and your plans for them. I prefer the Assault Cannon or Cyclone Missile Launcher for some long ranged firepower but the Heavy Flamer sees more use when I run them along with Assault Terminators. If your WARLORD is a CHARACTER model from a Blood Angels successor Chapter (other than Flesh Tearers), you can use the Blood Angels Warlord Traits table to determine what Warlord Trait they have. I'm a big fan of Terminators, and not just for their looks and fluff! They might be unpopular with tournament lists but if you play in a more casual setting they are great. Blood Angels Terminator Assault Squads take on the most vital of missions - facing down enemy elites, striking at mighty warlords, or hunting down super-heavy tanks and towering monsters.With each new bloody victory, the dire legends that surrounded the IXth grew and spread. They became spectres that haunted the wild places of the Great Crusade, the terrors loosed by the Emperor to clear his path across the stars. The IXth accepted this duty with a grim pride, never shirking in the mantle that they wore. Each campaign was undertaken with a quiet, brooding hunger for blood and death that was as terrifying as it was effective. They fought without mercy and paid no heed to anything other than the destruction of the enemy. Shunned and isolated from the wider Imperium, they began to descend into charnel cults and bloody rituals. Various Red Cults formed as the Legion was broken apart by the widening Crusade, and their brutality attracted censure at places such as Yarant. They began to only maintain line infantry and jump troops, in part due to the reluctance of the Imperium to supply them with more advanced weapons. [44c] Ancient StandardsWhile your Army Roster contains any BANNER OF RENOWN models, keep a Renown tally for each such model. If you have a Blood Angels successor Chapter, then for the purposes of using any BLOOD ANGELS Detachment rules, you can replace the BLOOD ANGELS keyword in all instances with the name of your chosen successor Chapter. And they also aren't an awful unit to throw Transhuman Physiology on, as what removes them easily is stuff like overcharged plasma that wounds on a 2, reducing that to a 4+ can be a big deal. If the Tactical Doctrine was active for your army during the previous battle round, you can change it so that the Assault Doctrine is now active.
