Well, I guess the same as everyone else I used it in combination with the smaller Tesco stuff when potting smaller plants. But also with John Innes compost plus sharp sand. Personally I would prefer the Sanicat to be mixed with something that had a smaller lump size as I feel it is a bit big to use on its own. I didn't look closely at the spec. for the last lot I bought, but when they turned up they weren't clay at all but sawdust based, so OK for spills, but not ideal for tanks. I also have found an Argentinian lava soil from Patagonia that is sold in Brazil as cat litter. People say wonders about it... Testing it on some cuttings:
